Staying at the Cowichan Bay Guest Suites was the highlight of our 2 week, 3 centre stay in Canada. The accommodation is incredibly clean, modern, spacious, luxurious and extremely tastefully furnished. My husband and I stayed in one apartment with our youngest daughter (20 ) who had her own room and bathroom in a separate part of the suite whilst our second daughter and her husband stayed in an adjacent suite, equally fantastic. The property is immaculately maintained and overlooks beautiful Cowichan Bay with views that can only be described as breath-taking.Watching the sun go down across the bay whilst sat around the garden fire pit will be a memory that is indelibly etched. However not only were the suites close to perfection but hosts Leanne and Brock are one in a million. They and their children were so welcoming, helpful and friendly without being in the slightest bit intrusive.Nothing was too much trouble. Leanne and Brock have now geared the kitchen up to enable more than breakfast to be prepared even if fairly simplistically. A short walk down to the bay gives access to fresh bread and there is a very classy deli that even imports British cheese from Neal's Yard ! The fish and chip shop ( eat in ) is a no frills must experience. A trip out to 'whale spot' with the bay's local team - totally thrilling and an absolute must do is a trip to Genoa Bay where a particularly good restaurant awaits. Don't be fooled by the name Genoa Bay Café - it belies the culinary delights and amazing setting in store. Local Cowichan resident Tim Doyle now offers a return water taxi to Genoa for a few dollars which makes this a great evening out. I have never taken the trouble before to leave feedback on a place we have stayed in but Cowichan Bay, this accommodation and its fabulous owners are more than worth the effort. If we ever return to Canada and Vancouver Island we will definitely be staying with you - THANK YOU!

We stayed with Leanne and Brock for 2 nights as part of a trip around BC and were so well looked after. First of all, the suite we had was brand new and has been built to a very high specification with lots of nice finishing touches. We were travelling with our baby so it's great to have plenty of space rather than a pokey hotel room which we really got.

The first day we arrived the weather was great and we really fancied a bike ride to visit a couple of the local wineries which had been recommended. When I asked Brock if he knew where I could hire bikes he offered to lend us some along with a perfect seat for our baby to sit on the back, this was hugely appreciated and we had a great afternoon.

On our second day we went for a big hike around Lake Cowichan which was beautiful. Brock had put some crab nets out by his boat that day and had caught 11 massive crabs which he cooked up and we enjoyed a beer and some crab on the terrace, overlooking the amazing view of the bay.

Overall we had a great stay and can't speak highly enough of the property or of course Leanne and Brock's courtesy - they really made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. If we're ever back in the area this is the only place we would stay, thanks guys!

Clean, modern, bright, and private - no detail overlooked. My husband two children and I were fortunate to spend three nights in this amazing place. Huge windows overlook a flower garden, grass, and the ocean below. We awoke from our 1200 thread count sheets and comfy duvet to have specialty coffees in bed in this tranquil setting. The bathroom was as big as my first apartment with duo sinks, a massive tub, and rain head shower, not to be outdone by the thick white terry bath towels. We did not even have to share a bathroom or bedroom with our children as they had their own. The fridge, microwave, granite counters and kitchen table made meals a breeze. The suite was decorated to the nines, its something you would see on House and Home or Style at Home. The evenings were spent enjoying wine at the fire pit and the hospitality of our hosts Leanne and Brock. Their two children graciously shared their yard, trampoline and toys with our children. The quietness and peaceful setting inside and out makes it a place we will definitely stay again.

Lovely house with friendly and welcoming hosts. The apartment is built into the family home but it is well isolated so you really get your own space. Leanne was very friendly and welcoming and let us use the fire pit overlooking the waterfront which really made for a lovely evening. Leanne's recommendations of things to do locally and elsewhere on Vancouver Island were outstanding and really helped make a wonderful holiday. Self caterers should be aware that the kitchen is set up for breakfasts and really well equipped for that but there are no pans etc so it's not really suitable for a full self catering experience.

Overall, a fantastic, clean and welcoming stay - absolutely outstanding.

My Husband, two children and I stayed here while visiting some family in the area. We were very pleased with the comfort and value. Extremly modern rooms as it is in a brand new house. ( I think previous poster most have been talking about a diffrent place) we will definitly stay here again when in the area.
