“Country family working man's restaurant”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Sassy's used to be a Smitty's (which notably had the best plain fries on the peninsula) and then was privatized by the managers. It's right on the way to The Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, wineries, and nurseries at a country crossroads.
Sassy's makes food for people out doing physical labour and for families to share. They have the best burgers, the best sandwiches, and best fries, and the best desserts -- if size, quality, price, and taste are your criteria. It's plain and friendly with lots of specials and deals. Not a place to take you date for a quiet rendez-vous, unless you're a teenager.
Lots of energy and lots of good food.

“Great family atmosphere”
Reviewed 12 October 2013 via mobile

We were treated very well at Sassy's and they totally understood the needs of our rambunctious 2 year old daughter, making for a low stress meal for us. The food was good, home cooked style. They were accommodating of our daughter's milk allergy. The food wasn't super fancy, but it was a good honest meal and good value for money. Our server was great!

“Food very average”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

Brought my brother and his girlfriend while visiting from Ontario, there were 5 of us, the food was just ok, none of it stood out and some not very good. Bland fish and chips and burgers.

“great coffee!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

A frequent breakfast place for us. Good food, better pricing and the best coffee around. They leave a carafe at your table! They also have many options for side dishes. You don't pay extra if you want to sub fruit or tomatoes for hash browns, although, their pan fried hash browns are way better than those deep fried nuggets. Also have gluten free options.
