“Great Westcoast Cajun”

Brentwood Bay, Vancouver Island. Great location, great views. Food and service is excellent. Great outdoor deck. Jambalaya and po'boy were amazing. This was our second visit. Will be back next year.

“Pleasantly surprised”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

The reviews we'd read on this were kinda mixed so we weren't sure what to expect. We were on our way for lunch at the Brentwood Bay Inn but decided to give it a go instead.

It's a funky little restaurant. Lots of New Orleans knick knacks around the place. Lots of hot sauces on the wall. Obviously these guys have a passion for Bayou and Louisiana culture.

The menu isn't huge but there was plenty to choose from. I had the po'boy, my wife had the cajun clubhouse. Both our sandwiches (hers was a wrap) were fresh and tasty. The portions were large! The accompanying soup (white bean) was delicious and served hot.

The service was friendly and attentive without being annoying. The prices were very reasonable.

All in all I'd definitely go back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. We'll probably give it another go for dinner next summer when we can go over by boat.

“Great little character restaurant”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

My wife and I had an amazing meal and dining experience at Blue Bayou. It was located within a 7 minute walk of the Brentwood Bay Resort where we were staying. This restaurant specialized in cajun food. The food was excellent and the quaint room made you feel like you were in New Orleans. Loved it!

“Excellent Food”

Such a great location, right on the water in Brentwood Bay. Food is excellent, as is the service. Love to sit on the outside deck on a summer Saturday night and watch the fireworks from Butchart Gardens

“My first taste of bayou, but certainly not my last”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

The food is excellent, the atmosphere is nice, but be careful where you sit. The restaurant is built on a pier, and in the evening, the glare from the sun off the water is brutal. It burns, so make sure to sit back a ways from the water's edge. A smaller size will do most people, especially for the jumbalaya.
