Description: The Weavers Tearooms is part of the New Inn, a medieval hall-house, used as an Inn around the 15th century for travellers. Today Weavers continues the tradition of providing a welcome stop, offering a full range of excellent homemade fare. Breakfasts, morning coffee, lunches and afternoon teas; from sandwiches to salads, cakes to cream teas and of course our famous scones. All made here at the Weavers Tearooms. We are a family business who concentrate mainly on good old English cooking. Food “like what mum used to make”. Our aim is always to prepare food to the highest standards, at the same time offering good value for money. Simple, honest and good tasting food.

We were passing through this small village of Peasenhall, which is on a cross country route in Suffolk, on the A1120. This is an fashioned delightful stopping place for a meal, afternoon tea, sandwiches, soups etc. The staff are warm and friendly and go out of their way to please. The food is home baked and prepared, and is not expensive. The café is closed on Wednesdays. If you are travelling nearby or going along the A12 it is worth making a short detour. You will not be disappointed.

What a lovely lunch we had ...... all made fresh, to order: freshly boiled eggs for egg mayonnaise sandwiches - nothing is pre-prepared! Excellent value for money - and beautifully presented. Tuesday and Thursday is Pensioners Special - three courses for £6.95 - what a bargain and obviously extremely popular - and no wonder! Such a shame that The Landmark Trust have not seen fit to maintain the outside of the property in the last 15 years - shame on them!

Stumbled out from bed next door (Old Inn Cottage, Landmark Trust) and into the friendly embrace of cooked English! A total pleasure

We were out for the day on the motorbike and dropped in for some Sunday lunch. We had been past before and it had been on our list of places to tr for some time.

We were greeted by very friendly staff as well as the other customers at the time. We went for the 2 course Sunday lunch deal, and had steak & potato pie with veg plus a dessert and a pot of tea for just over £20 for both of us. Tasty food and good value for money. We will definitely be back again.

Eight of us have just returned from another relaxing holiday in suffolk where we travelled each day to Peasenhall for our meals, we were last here in November. As usual we were given a very warm welcome by Martin, Denise and their staff and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty dishes and desserts on offer. We really feel fortunate to have found this typical country tea room and look forward to returning next November.
