“Home made cooking par excellance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Made our third or fourth trip to Weaver's today for lunch. Their three course meal is brilliant and excellent value. Our party tried almost everything on the menu between us and everyone was full of praise.

The staff are courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is good and the whole experience is great.

“Reliable Tea Room over many years”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

We have been going to Weavers on and off for years. It never fails to deliver consistently good, typical Tea Room fare. A good selection of both hot and cold food. The interior has had a bit of a make over recently and looks fresher. But it is the same classic Tea Room fare that consistently delivers good variety, taste and texture. Be sure to have the Victoria Sandwich if it is available - always freshly made, like all their food, in the kitchen.

“Excellent soup and service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

A party of 4 of us were cycling and were forced to stop in Peasenhall because of a puncture. None of our pumps was working properly so we withdrew into the Weavers for some lunch. Excellent home made soup and puddings. We asked if they knew anyone with a bike pump and a Sport Joe Blow was promptly delivered to our table! That's what I call service!

“Truly Scrumptious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

Eight of us recently returned to Suffolk for a weeks crafting holiday. Each day we made the short journey from Cratfield to have our meals at the Weavers. There is an extensive menu of traditional home cooking. Plenty of fresh vegetables and yummy desserts very nicely served by friendly staff. We looked forward each day to returning to see what delights there were for us to enjoy. Eating out each day can be pricey, but the meals here are very reasonable. This is the fourth time we have spent a week dining at the Weavers and we look forward to coming again in November. Long may it continue.

“Old-fashioned tearoom”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2014

Going into Weavers feels like going back in time: it is not self-consciously "retro" like the Cragg Sisters in Aldeburgh, just a solidly English tea-room. The cakes are good, the lunches are traditional hearty fare (gammon, chicken pie etc.), the welcome is warm, the place is quirky and scrupulously clean. Not a place for gourmets or foodies, but a much-more-than-adequate place to stop and eat, in an attractive Suffolk village. There are home-made jams and cakes on sale to take away. We have been a few times and always enjoyed it.
