This was our first visit to the bistro and we went with friends for dinner. The place itself is OK, the service was friendly, if a little sporadic, and the price of the set menu was reasonable especially so when you use the £2.95 voucher from the website. They were the good bits. The wine (sav) wasn't very good, the food was all right but nothing to write home about and some of the glasses/cutlery could have been cleaner. The cappuccinos were disappointing - hardly any froth at all - but they were hot. We would not bother to go back.

As visitors to the area we settled on this small restaurant for an evening meal because the varied menu suited our tastes. We were very pleased with our food which was simply and attractively presented and was very tasty and enjoyable. If we were in the area again would quite happily return here to try more dishes from an interesting menu.

I went to this restaurant for a business lunch and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant looks out on to the main road but is set back far enough that this is not a problem and there is seating outside for fine weather.

Inside the restaurant has dark wood floors and nice light decor. The tables are well spaced so that you are not too close to other diners.

The place has a nice atmosphere about it and a good choice of food including a daily specials board for a 2 or 3 course lunch or you could opt for a baguette or panini.

We chose a Thai green curry with chicken & rice and a Caesar salad with crispy Parma ham. Both meals were excellent.

Total bill with 2 drinks and coffees was £24 which was reasonable.

The toilets were immaculate.

The restaurant does not have any parking of its own but you can park in the nearby streets although this is time limited and policed so best plan is to park in the car park by the sports centre which is 60p for 2 hours and walk the short distance to Caesars.

The two ladies serving were so friendly and a lot of fun.

Great place to eat and I will definitely go back.

First visit to Caesars in a few years. Have never eaten there in the evening. Lunch menu has been severely reduced. Service adequate, but not overly welcoming. Asked for white wine, and told Pinot Grigio only available, although Sauvignon Blanc was on the (extremely limited) wine list.

Bangers and mash for lunch on a bitterly cold day. Very disappointing bangers.

Macy Gray on a loop frankly didn't help either. Background music is always appreciated, but alternatives musically would be appreciated.

With Broadstone being so busy, and with one family restaurant closing recently, it seems a shame that Caesars is not making the most of the opportunity. Overall sense of the brown theme is not one of cosiness, rather than a feeling that the whole place needs a rethink.

We were given a very specific booking time (made us feel it was popular), then we turned up and the place was empty.

The restaurant smelt a bit funny (possibly their candles). Not a great first impression.

The service was just a bit bland and impersonal, given that we were the only people in there. Food was not great, not particularly hot and just...average really. One out of three drinks orders was incorrect (again, not great being the only people in there).

Towards the end of our meal more folk arrived but the place just still seemed to lack feeling. Even some background music would add a bit of dimension.

Wouldn't be tempted to go back unless big change was promoted.
