If you are looking to spend one or more nights in quiet and delightful surroundings, look no further than Pool House on the outskirts of the village of Sutton St. Nicholas, a short distance north of Hereford. Large double-bedded accommodation is separate from the main house, very tastefully furnished and absolutely immaculate. Sparkling en-suite with spacious walk-in shower and full kit of first class toiletries. Beautiful and secluded grounds with pond, lawns, shrubs and plants provide a real sense of being away from it all. We even saw a few chickens roaming about, providing fresh eggs for substantial and scrumptious breakfasts. Not to worry about finding places for dinner, as the hosts, Ian & Annette Mansie, will direct you to one of a number of good pubs or restaurants locally. The Mansies really have thought of everything to please their guests, from the moment one arrives until time for departure. Top marks for them & Pool House; my wife and I can't wait to return when we next visit this area.

This was our third visit to the Pool House, it is a lovely Annexe set in the gardens of the main house. The position is very peaceful, the gardens beautiful and the hosts, Ian & Annette could not be more helpful with local advice and flexibility on arrival times and breakfast.

The room is very bright and spotlessly clean and if you have forgotten something the chances are its already there!! A lovely comfortable King size bed and en-suite shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities, with a range of teas to choose from.

Breakfast is enough to keep you going all day... fresh grapefruit, choice of cereals and yogurt. Eggs from the resident hens, local bacon and sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes, toast and croissants....of course you dont have to eat all of it, the choice is yours.

When we stay here we usually walk to the Golden Cross in the village, about a ten minute walk, the restaurent upstairs serves wonderful food and the staff are always friendly, dont forget your torch for the walk back, which is off course supplied in your room.

Pool House B&B is situated just outside the village of Sutton St Nicholas in Herefordshire. Pool House is one of Herefordshire's 'black and white' houses, and dates from 1710.
Set in an acre of beautiful gardens with a large ornamental pool, it's the ideal spot for a relaxing break. Pool House offers double room accommodation in the grounds (annexe of garage) - comprising entrance hall, double bedroom and en-suite shower/WC room. Annette and Ian Mansie (ex-hoteliers) have thought of everything to make your stay perfect, from the fluffy robes in the bathroom, to the almost bewildering choice of teas and coffees that you can choose from! Forgotten your contact lens case? No problem, a spare is provided in the bathroom! There is almost everything you could ever need! Fabulous breakfasts are served in the house with eggs from the resident hens, together with delicious home made preserves and local produce... what more could you want?

Facilities include: central heating, credit cards accepted, dogs welcome, fabulous gardens, private/off-street parking, refrigerator/freezer compartment, strictly no smoking establishment, tea/coffee facilities in room, television (not fabulous reception though), washing machine if needed!

There are lots of fantastic pubs and restaurants locally, and Pool House is a great base for touring round the area.

Thoroughly recommended!
