The good points: the staff were friendly and efficient. We were going to have to leave before breakfast started on the Sunday morning so they kindly made us some very delicious bacon sandwiches instead. The bathroom was a decent size and looked fairly new. Free wifi & tea and coffee in room. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it was nicely presented. Excellent location at the heart of a pretty village.

The not so good points: The room we booked was a premier room, rather than a standard one, but nevertheless it was tired. A mismatch of rather tatty old furniture, including a very late 70s/early 80s sink unit in the room which presumably pre-dated the room having its own bathroom, and a bed which made an alarming noise whenever my husband sat on it! No air con - it was very hot in the room when we were there as it was a very sunny day. Not nice view from the bedroom window - a flat roof which had presumably been leaking as covered with plastic and wood to hold it down. Steep stairs up to the room without a proper handrail - may be difficult to negotiate for anyone not that steady on their feet.

We got the room for £75 a night on a special offer, which I think was fair. Had I paid the full tariff of £95 I think I might have been left feeling a little short-changed. This place could be really lovely if they invested some money in upgrading the bedrooms.

Room Tip: Not all rooms are en suite, so if this is an issue for you make sure you upgrade.

We telephoned in the afternoon of Sunday for lunch on the bank holiday expecting to be declined. We were warned there was a large party in but could be served.

We both had the roast beef, this came with veg to share, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. It was delicious! We both had puddings and they were great also and really reasonably priced. Especially for " woburn prices, darling!" . Even though there was a large party in and the hotel was operational the waiting staff were very attentive.

In summary, cosy venue, great prices and great food. All you need really. We'll done!

We were looking for a hotel with character at a sensible price in Woburn, Longs really fitted the bill it is in the town centre easy walking to everything with ample free parking (as long as you don't drive a large vehicle). On arrival we were welcomed by Frankie who was very helpful clearly explaining where everything was. Once we settled into the room we had a very pleasant snack lunch in the bar, again looked after very well by Frankie, this resulted in us booking a table for dinner as well.
The room was a good size and very comfortable with a large en suite bathroom.
Dinner was good and exceptional value, we enjoyed a good evening with nice wine.
Breakfast was another good experience with a nice freshly cooked breakfast served by Yvonne, yet another friendly and helpful member of the team.
We would thoroughly recommend the Longs Inn and will be returning there again.

Room Tip: The rooms all appear nice, however if you have any mobility issues this is an old inn with narrow stairs, so please let them know in advance for your own comfort.

Four of us had Sunday lunch here and it was good. Whilst the menu is not extensive there are options ; the meal when it arrived was on hot plates and the food was piping hot and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal which had to include dessert! and the friendliness of the staff and the ambience of the restaurant. The only let down for me as a wheelchair user was that there was no designated disabled toilet, with the help of family I managed; but many others would not ; would definitely eat here again

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights bed and breakfast Our room was a courtyard twin room (only room left ) and we found it to be very comfy and very clean . Sheets and towels were fresh and we had a good supply of toiletries, there was lots of tea coffee hot chocolate milk biscuits etc left every night .Breakfast was very good but the service was a bit hit and miss ,three serving but one doing most of the work .I seemed to confuse them as I had porridge ,they seemed to forget I had ordered a breakfast as well !! it did come eventually . Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay, also the room was lovely and warm which was just as well ,that weekend was very cold .

Room Tip: I was led to believe that the courtyard rooms were best but cannot verify this !
