“Fabulous afternoon tea”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

Came here for afternoon tea in September for my birthday. Can't comment on the rooms as didn't stay in the hotel, but in the afternoon everything was super. Great food, friendly service and nice dining atmosphere. We didn't bring a cake but the waiter brought out a decorated plate with a few extra sweet treats - a lovely touch. Will definitely be back!

Business stay over,
What a nice place, nice little village location.
Very well kept, very clean.
Rooms were not over the top, all you needed was there, the rooms are well kept, clean and comfy!

It's a great location for several attractions, the main ones being, the fab golf course, the Abby and the animal park.
This hotel attracts a few celebs as its tucked away but also convenient for the golf course.

Could not fault the service, could not and would not fault the staff. The food looked good ( although we ate in the fishy place opposite!) breakfast was very good, all you could want. There is safe parking, gate controlled.

There was a few of us and everyone agreed that it was a good little hotel and would be very happy to return.

We had a delightful stay. I was impressed from the first telephone conversation I had with Jenny at reception. She was welcoming, clear, efficient and so professional. Checking in was swift and friendly. Our room was stylish, luxurious and spotlessly clean. The lounge area is very cosy and relaxed. The staff are attentive and all have a can do attitude. I liked the art deco lighting in the bathroom and asked about it at reception. The estate manager happened to be there at the time; he rushed out in the rain and came back with a bit of carboard packaging with the name of the company on it. As we came back for our pre booked afternoon tea, the complete information was handed out to me at reception! Great food and service. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice and our inter-connecting rooms were very pleasant and comfortable. I was looking forward to a good nights sleep. This didn't happen. Our room was overlooking the car park. At about midnight I was woken up by guests leaving then at about 5 in the morning I was woken again by a man in the car park shouting and swearing and bashing something calling for someone to come down. This went on for about 20 minutes. In the morning I was exhausted. Breakfast was average.

Thank you for posting your review on this site.

We are sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us, due to noisy and inconsiderate guests.
We are also disappointed to read that breakfast was average; would this relate to the quality of the food and/or the service?

We sincerely hope that you will have the opportunity to return to the UK soon, and reconsider returning to Woburn to allow us to redeem ourselves.

Yours sincerely,

We stayed here for one night in the family room on the safari package (fabulous value for money). The Staff were very friendly, the rooms lovely and spacious and clean and the food was great. With the Safari park and Abbey only just up the road, it was a wonderful way to end the kids first week back at school, and although we didn't get time to see the Abbey as the Safari park was so fantastic, we will definitely be looking to do this again and hopefully for longer next time.

Stayed at The Inn at Woburn for one night whilst visiting Bletchley park. Plenty of free parking, easy to find. Large, airy, stylish room, spotlessly clean. Welcoming public lounge area. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food and service. Will definitely stay here again.

I statyed at the Woburn for a week on business and have to admit its one of the nicest hotels i'vbe stayed in. Its tastefully decorated and generally quiet. If you need complete quiet, ask for a room that doesn't over look the car park as other guests can be very noisy.

Oliviers Restaurant is lovely. The food is excellent, the wine list superb and the staff attentive.

There is no air conditioning but the staff are happy to provide you with a fan, which sadly, given the heat from this summer just circulated hot air. Of course, this is not something that staff can do anything about.

The only negative I had was on departure. When I raised an error in my bill, the reception staff were somewhat sullen and looked annoyed at having to deal with it. That is something that ius easily rectified of course.

Would I stay again? Absolutely, i'm booked in again next week.

Room Tip: If you need quiet, ask for a room that doesn't over look the car park
