Description: Nestled in the heart of the Temple Quarter, with views overlooking Temple Gardens, this award winning Restaurant / Bar and Terrace offers a wide variety of dishes spread over the City Café outlets. City Café Bar offers fantastic value with promotional two for one cocktails, light bites, an array of burgers, salads and pasta dishes in a modern setting. The recently refurbished outdoor terrace is very popular throughout the year with young professionals and our weekend revellers, with a retractable canopy and heating for your comfort. The recent enhancements provides both lounge seating and restaurant style for you to enjoy throughout the year. Continuing on our reputation for providing excellent value and high quality food over the years in our City Café Restaurant, our newly appointed Head Chef's creative approach to local and international produce ensures this is at the heart of all he does. Not your typical hotel restaurant, we like to think our service and food quality speak for themselves. Ideally located for business lunches or a romantic evening out.

“I heard better things about this place.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2013

Of course, this is now the Hilton. To be fair, I was on a package and restricted to a set menu, which was not to my taste. The first time I was there, they lost my reservation (presumably in the confusion of it being so busy) and the second time, despite it not being busy, my dessert took forever and was stale. Will not be going back.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2013

We had the Christmas menu- but there was plenty of choice and all 6 of us had options. Really good food and the hotel also provided a close-up magician to entertain us between courses.

“OK. Nothing more.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2012

Liked the waitress. Didn't like the music pulsating away in the bar - being deafened every time someone opened the door. Food was good but pricey. Drinks expensive and was amazed that wine was only served in 125ml or 175ml glasses. Absolutely no atmosphere at all. Couldn't wait to go across the church yard to the lovely old pub and drink in the fab history of it all.

“City Grill”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 November 2012

The City restaurant is now to be found in the Hilton Garden Inn. The food standard is excellent and the restaurant has large windows that over look the gardens. There is always a 2 course lunch for £10 which is great value for the city centre.
