“Great hotel in an ideal location.”
Reviewed 1 October 2012

A great hotel, ideally located. The room was well presented & good value for money.......the bed was very comfortable & the pillows were the best that I'd ever slpt on in a hotel!! The staff were very friendly & were able to provide me with all of information that I requested. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the local area.

This is located at the rear of the Temple Meads station, so couldn't be easier to get to. The area is in the process of being redeveloped, so may not be suitable for those not used to an urban environment.

The bathrooms are pod-like and do the job well. The other fittings are a bit cheap, but you're not paying luxury prices, so who cares.

The best part was the bed...which was really comfortable.

Breakfast was self-service and consisted of the full English, cereal and croissants.

I had to stay in the Ibis because of a business trip to Bristol and it is for a week (or more).
For me, this Ibis is a disappointment and I had a lot better.
The bathroom is one of those plastic units and although it looks fancy, it feels cheap.
Water pressure is low but the water is hot enough. Also during rush hour.
The bed is comfortable and OK. The room is OK for a night. Not for a week.
Everything is extra (except one hour Wifi in the lobby).
The breakfast is poorly but that is maybe because of me. But only ham and pre-packed cheese is too cheap for a 7 pound breakfast.
For me, the Ibis Budget hotels in France are better equipped then this one.
Location is very good (2 minutes from the train station)

Room Tip: If you come from the main land... don't forget your socket outlet adapter....

Stayed here several nights on business. Friendly staff, efficient reception, reasonable breakfast. Room was above average - clean and quite pleasant. No noise problems, had a good nights sleep.

You can access internet through the TV for a few pounds an hour - there is a (slightly clunky) wireless keyboard in the room. OK for checking email but not for long messages or work use - keys stick, pointer device is very slow, etc.

Location is good, particularly as its very convenient for the train station. There is a back exit out of the train station which will take you to within 2 minutes walk of the hotel, though it's not well signed in the station - if you don't see it ask. It's in a waterside hotel/flats/offices type of area, obviously recently renovated, house boats moored and quite pleasant during the day.

Avoid walking through the Temple Circus area near the station at night though - I took a small accidental detour and would not recommend it.

Excellent budget hotel.Breakfast was extra but very good and plentiful. A buffet style offering both hot and cold options. Very comfortable beds and a quiet location. The downside was the cost of wifi at £4 an hour. Most hotesls have this as standard.

Room Tip: rooms facing the railway are not disturbed by any noise but may be treated to the steam engines goin...

This hotel is in a great location for temple station, it's modern, has comfortable beds and very clean with helpful staff and we would not hesitate to stay here again. The temple ferry stops opposite the ibis via the footbridge, which is great as it takes you to all the attractions in the city.

This was my second trip to the Ibis Bristol & everything was fine. Booking in was timely though I did notice a coach party caused a few issues just after I'd booked in. I had a high floor room overlooking Temple Meads which was ok, no real noise issues. There is a local JD Weathspoons pub near by for value food & a pint. The rooms in the Ibis are modern & welcomng, I'll be booking again the next time I'm in Bristol.

Room Tip: Go for a high floor, good views over Bristol & less chance of street noise.
