After some of the negative reviews I had read, I feared the worst but my experience was quite the opposite. My room was clean and big enough, the bed really comfortable and although the 'bathroom' is one of the preconstructed type, it was clean, there was quite enough room to it and it had a larger shower than those in many other hotels I've been to. Corridors were clean, lifts fast and reception with an area for comfortable chairs and coffee tables was quite nice. The staff were really good. I arrived before checking-in time but as I wasn't feeling well (dizzy spells) I was sat down in one of the chairs and supplied with a coffee. Meantime, my room was being prepared ahead of schedule so that I could lie down & recover.
If there is any down side then it must be that the restaurant is not too good for evening meals: very resricted gastropub-type menu and I was told there was a 45 minute wait (it's pretty small). However, it is perfectly good for breakfasts.
Location-wise it is only a 5 minute walk from Bristol's Temple Meads Station, where the airport shuttle also arrives and leaves from.
