Stayed here as part of a work trip , room was lovely and big and the bathroom was lovely and clean , shower bigger than other hotels I have stayed in . Bed was lovely and comfy and would have slept like a log if it wasn't for the heat , couldn't open the window as the traffic noise was too loud and couldn't get the air system to cool it down enough ( this was in September so hardly a heat wave ) . The peopl on reception were lovely but the people at the bar seemed very distracted and dinner was difficult to order. Breakfast was lovely and i could have stuffed my face !. Nice hotel buti would need to take a fan next time

We had an overnight stay at Ibis, lovely clean hotel room, 7th floor overlooking the railway trains. The bed was very comfortable, crisp clean bedding, large room, compact shower room very modern, not over fussy. We had used the bus from our home in Somerset which was excellent as the hotel did not have car parking, the bus stopped near Bristol Temple Meads station, choice of buses into the city centre, and a short stroll to the hotel. We went to a concert at the nearby Colston Hall, using the local bus, most of the buses run quite late, the area was very well lite on our return, a very up and coming area with office blocks and apartments being built. The water taxi runs, be nice to use in the summertime, though seems popular. We did not use the café or bar area, though this was bright and clean. Short stroll to Weatherspoons, excellent value. We aim to return in the summer. Staff were very helpful.

We usually stay at the Ramada, but that has changed hands. We chose this hotel because of the location, close to Bristol Temple Meads station. It is only a short walk and you can see the Hotel when the train pulls in.

We were given a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the station and a building site. Despite this we weren't disturbed by noise. The room was a bit sparse, but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom reminded me a bit of the portable toilets in London. It was a walk in shower and toilet, The shower was lovely and it stayed perfectly on your chosen temperature. The toilet was fast flush too. The full size mirror and plug point in the room was oddly located, by the door. There was loads of wall space between the TV and window which seemed a better location. The room was very Scandinavian with wooden floors. The TV was quite small and it had a very slow response to the remote control.

The breakfast cost £7.50 per person and we had a cooked, full English breakfast. It is buffet style and the food was hot and very tasty.

All in all a lovely stay and we will definitely return at a later date.

Room Tip: Don't worry about the close proximity of the station you won't be disturbed. Make sure you t...

A short stroll from Temple Meads station (about 5-10 mins). We had a top floor room on the 7th floor. Lovely, clean spacious room. Bathroom with large walk in shower. Nice size flat-screen TV - with also pay-per-view etc. Free WiFi (didn't use though). Large helpful map of the area/Bristol city centre available on reception. Buses are from the station to the city centre (8 or 9, and also the airport Flyer bus). This Ibis also has a bar and cafe. Special thanks to Andrea and Gosia (receptionists) who were extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. A short stroll also is The Knights Templar Wetherspoons - we recommend their Xmas dinner menu!!!
