Description: Prosecco welcomes you with a warm greeting and gently glimmering candles on each table, and offers an authentic take on the feel and flavours of rural Italy. The menu at this friendly, family run restaurant (named after the sparkling wine of Veneto, the wine growing region of northern Venice where head chef Diego Da Rae grew up) is based around recipes passed down from grandmother to grandchild, yet Prosecco is not limited to an old fashioned selection of dishes – diners looking to stray from the traditional Italian fare will delight in the presence of the likes of the chicken liver pate with black grape chutney, alongside Prosecco’s other tantalising inclusions.

A quiet Monday evening in late November ....so we were happy to find somewhere open and welcoming. The service standard was excellent and it was hard to fault the food although equally hard to rave about it. The starter of mozzarella, warm chestnuts and chorizo was a little unbalanced with only 5 small slices of meat, 3 small balls of cheese and an overwhelming pile of chestnut. The main course of shell-on prawn and pasta was also ok if a little lacking in seasoning.
Overall, nothing to complain about.

Slightly odd menu. Where Thai fishcakes fiit within an Italian restaurant is still a mystery to me. Average food.

I went to Prosecco with my partner on my birthday after wanting to try it for ages. We were not disappointed! The starters were excellent as was the accompanying wine. Service was attentive yet relaxed and staff were friendly and helpful. I had the venison for the main course and it was absolutely delicious. We would definitely go back to Prosecco and would thoroughly recommend.

When I lived in Clifton this was always the first choice for a birthday or another special occasion. It never failed to hit the spot. After the Gordon Ramsay appearance it all became a little bit crazy so we kept away but I returned just recently and was not disappointed.

It was very quiet indeed but the food was still as good as it always had been. I love this place and it is back at the top of my list for places to eat out.

One slightly sad element though - the 'Ramsay/Prosecco Group Hug' photo is everywhere and is not needed; Prosecco stands on its own two feet and doesn't need photos of GR dotted about the place as it makes the place look a bit desperate.
