Having been taken away for a theatre trip, I was very impressed by the hotel, location and service provided by the staff, however on returning to the hotel at around midnight we were truely surprised by the attitude of only what could be described as the nightclub bouncer type on the door. I am not sure if it was because we were a Mr & Mr as opposed to a Mr & Mrs. Having complained the following morning I am still waiting a response from the hotel management.

I am appalled by this and have taken appropriate actions to resolve this.
This is not how we wish to be percieved and i am very sorry this has occurred.
It will certainly not happen again.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention

I had a great stay here whilst in Bristol on business.

Although I need to get a taxi from Temple Mead station (£8) the actual location is fantastic for the city itself.

Everything is either on your doorstep or within an easy stroll.

The staff in reception were lovely, approachable and helpful. The speedily got me checked in and off to my room.

The room was extremely spacious as was the bathroom and had everything you need from a hotel room.

The breakfast is delicious and good value. I can't fault my stay at the Radisson and would most definitely be happy to stay here again.

My only bit of advice is that when you're planning to leave the hotel leave either 5 minutes earlier or use the stairs as the lifts take forever to come which is a little frustrating.

I booked the Radisson Blu in Bristol as part of the surprise birthday weekend I organised for my wife’s birthday, as I’d also got tickets to go to the Hippodrome theatre over the road to take her to see Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Very nice hotel, polite and professional reception staff, large, well appointed rooms, incredibly comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, excellent restaurant, fabulous breakfast and you couldn’t get more central. Added to that, I felt it was great value for money. We were also made to feel very special with valet parking, although we were taken aback a little on the Saturday morning when they fetched us the wrong car as we were leaving. We saw the funny side.

Well recommended if you’re staying in the city for whatever reason. I particularly liked the fact that only guests could access the bar after a certain time, as with any city, there does seem to be a certain “untoward” element, that makes itself known after dark. We sat in the window and watched all manner of folk wandering past the front of the hotel after we returned from the theatre. From the sublime to the ridiculous and all shades in between. Great fun.

Booked a one night stay here during the February sales, and was delighted with the location and value. There was a bit if a wait during check in and was not too impressed with the cost of the parking, they only offered the £23 valet parking and directions to another open air car park a bit of a walk away. However the room was lovely, great views from the 12th floor, breakfast was good as well, all included in the price. The location was brilliant as we were going to the Hippodrome, fabulous! I would definitely return, especially at the sale price!

Our whole visit was made to feel comfortable and relaxing. we had a corner room with double aspect windows, making the room feel even bigger.
Staff were all very accommodating and polite.
But as usual the bar is very expensive. Did not try the food so no comment. We headed over the river to find a more reasonably priced breakfast.

Room Tip: ask for a business room then you get extra windows so bright room. we were on the 5th floor it was r...

The hotel is located opposite the dock area making it very convenient to access the town centre, bars, restaurants and nightlife. Our room was clean and furbished in a modern, bright style. I would have thought the price we paid for our room might have put off the rowdy stag party that were staying the same weekend as us. Sadly not, but this didnt cause us any inconvenience, in fact the hotel room was very quiet considering how central it is. We found a car park on Prince Steer which is about a five minute walk from the hotel. It provided weekend car parking for only a couple of pounds, much cheaper than that offered by the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 10th floor and above appear to have the best views
