Good value for an overnight stay, decent size family room two double beds, clean and tidy. Nice breakfast, with plenty of choice and free parking at shopping centre which lasts even after you check out .

So, the good things first - big rooms, massive beds and a good breakfast.

Less good - stains on carpets (some large), tired carpet, stains on curtains, saggy bed.

But the biggest minus is that there is NO wifi in the rooms. Yes, there is cable, but it is an extortionate £15 per day. Yes, there is a free wifi in the foyer, but that's not ideal for working.

It's 2014 - I expect free or reasonably priced wifi in my room. Especially in a hotel with 'future' in its name. I wouldn't stay again.

Stayed for 1 night with our grandson having chosen this hotel from the reviews. The hotel is in a good position for shopping in Bristol, parking free and very convenient and room good size.

I found the hotel room to be a bit tired with holes in bed linen, sticky patches on the carpet and stained net curtains. The room was set up with just 1 bath towel between the 3 of us.

Whilst the room is convenient for Cabot Circus it is also next to a busy road and we found the road noise to be troublesome. Also we found the beds to be very soft and uncomfortable. This became such a problem that at 11pm we were considering checking out and driving home.

I went down to see if there were any other rooms available as we couldn't sleep and I was advised by the receptionist that all the Superior rooms had very soft beds and were on the side of the road. I didn't find his sarcastic comments about not being able to do anything about the traffic on the road to be helpful. On returning to the room my grandson was sleeping so we decided to stay the night.

We travel to Bristol regularly and found this to be the most uncomfortable room to sleep in and won't be returning.

Room Tip: If Road noise is an issue to you don't book a superior room

Reception staff were off hand when we had to make various complaints. First room given had 2 twin beds which looked as though they had just been slept in. duvet cover not ironed, fitted sheet too small for mattress. when opened shower door was hit by dreadful smell of rotten eggs coming from the drains. when complained my 84 year old mother and I were told we would have to come back after 2pm before room would be ready, we had just got off a train and she was very tired, not even offered a drink. next room we were given the toilet had excrement in it and even after flushing the toilet bowel was badly stained. on the 2nd day off our stay we arrived back to room at 3pm it still had not been cleaned, dirty cups, full bins no spare toilet rolls. we were told again to leave the room so it could be cleaned i refused to take my elderly mother down again as she was needing to sleep after a busy day. the reception staff were very unhelpful trying to pass the buck onto housekeeping.

Thank you for taking the time to review Future inns Bristol.

We take all feedback positive or negative very seriously, and Im am sorry to hear that your stay with us was disappointing.

At Future Inns we pride ourselves on giving the highest level of customer service at all times, and i am sorry if you did not receive this during your stay. I will personally be investigating into the matter of the reception staff and their attitude.
In regards to your room not being serviced the reception team were correct with the information they provided you, as the room attendants will always service the departure rooms before seeing to any stay over’s. I hope you can understand that when the hotel is busy, the rooms can sometimes be serviced later than we would expect.
Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to press the linen within the hotel, which can cause the bedding to look a little creased.

I will pass your comments and feedback onto our housekeeping manager, to make them aware of the situation.

This was our fourth visit to Bristol and staying in the Future Inn. Location is very good - Bristol Circus shopping centre is right opposite and has many options for dining. Our room was spacious, clean and well set up. The beds were very comfortable and crisp linens. Really like the whole design including bathroom with heated towel rail and the energy efficiency (all electrical components are switched off automatically when you remove room card on leaving). The buffet breakfast has so much variety and well presented. When in Bristol, would always choose Future Inn.

Hotel is in a good location right opposite the Cabot Circus shopping centre. The room was clean with everything you need, although no free wifi in rooms but think it is available in the reception. Breakfast was good, not as much choice as some hotels but it was hot and replenished regularly. Overall a good stay and I would recommend this hotel as it is good value for money

Car parking was safe and easy to find in the shopping centre next door although you can use the car park behind the hotel to drop your bags off. Good room, massive bed (could have fit 3!) and massive shower (the same 3 could also easily shower at the same time!!)

Decent buffet style breakfast for an extra £7.50, about a 10-15 min walk to the centre of town but closer to the river taxi station. There's a massive shopping centre nearby which is handy and a couple of really nice pubs within a stones throw of the hotel. I would happily stay here again
