“This is a really good value hotel and stylish as well”
Reviewed 22 December 2009

Stayed here for one night on the way to Devon - chose Future Inn because of other comments.

Great location literally slap bang in the middle of the city centre and opposite the new Cabot Circus mall. Great drop off area at the rear of the hotel then free parking in Cabot Circus car park all night and for the following morning al for £71.00! UIt's the best bargain I've had for a hotel in this kind of location.

The room was a really good size, contemporary in style and the bed was amazing. It was huge but more importantly was exceptionally comfortable with great pillows (normally one of my big bugbears about hotels - I hate disgusting hard flat feather pillows!).

Well designed and good staff. Went to Tampopo for dinner in the mall over the road - Japanese fusion noodle style place. Pret a Manger in the mall for breakfast. Easy peasy...

Shame there aren't loads of these everywhere cos Travelodge and all those budget places would be in trouble. Gives the premiums boutique hotels a run for their money.

stayed with collegues for two nights this week and we all agreed excellent hotel very clean and could not be beaten at the price.

However, the service and quality of food in the resteraunt was a great let down, even the free glasses of wine did nothing to compensate, good job there is a selection of restaraunts with easy walk.

Aslo two out of three lifts not working first thing in the morning - whats that about.

Having said all the above for any future business and pleasure trips to Bristol would still be near the top of my prefered list.

The faciliities at the hotel are very nice, but it is let down by the way that it is managed. I was appalled when I got to check in at 5pm on a Friday afternoon to find the reception full of guests who had been waiting hours to check in, because the rooms had not been cleaned yet. In fact a number of people checked in, were given keys to their rooms, only to return to reception a few minutes later to complain that the room had not been touched since the last guest checked out. In fact, one guest angrily demanded cleaning products to clean the room herself, having been waiting for 3hrs for her room!

The facilities themselves were very good - rooms nice and spacious etc.. Good hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the wardrobe etc..

The problems began again when we went down for breakfast the next day. Breakfast is served in the restaurant downstairs and guests were queuing down the spiral staircase for breakfast. The hold up wasn't the availability of tables - but getting access to serve themselves from the buffet. All breakfast items are served on one space, which is about 2-3m long at best. So only two to three people could serve themselves at any one time. Added to the fact that the bowls holding the food were far too small, and that it was running out and needed replenishing every couple of minutes, meant that it was a repeat of the experience in reception the day before. The food when I got some was delicious. However, the whole thing seems to be designed to feed about 5 people an hour, as opposed to the 100+ that arrive on a weekend!

All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, as long as you check in late at night when they have had a chance to clean the rooms, and if you walk across the road to Cafe Rouge or Patisserie Valerie for breakfast. It is not worth paying the extra for breakfast when there are far more competent catering establishments close by!

Just come back from a one night stay here and it was a very pleasant experience. Reception Staff - very pleasant and helpful
Room - bright clean, airy and comfortable. Fab big fluffy towels - massive shower all spotlessly clean. Well equipped with TV, Hairdryer, Iron, Ironing board, Tea & coffee making facilities.
Location is great - straight off M32 and opposite Cabot Circue.
It helps that it is brand new of course
Great value for money
Would definately recommend

only stayed 1 night but wish it had been longer.spotlessly clean, bright, warm room with very comfortable beds and big white fluffy towels. reception staff were very pleasant and helpful but we had no complaints. hotel in an excellent position close to the city centre and new cabot circus shopping centre, car parking also onsite. it is rated 3 star but we have stayed in 4 star hotels which were not as nice.
rooms very well equiped with tea/coffee making, hairdryers, irons and boards but no safe.
we did not eat at the hotel but the restaurant looked very nice

Booked last minute on a sunday through late rooms for £49. We have been living in hotels for 3 months whilst homeless and this was without a doubt the most satisfactory. Staff could not have been more helpful on arrival - partner on crutches and they let us stay in the drop off bay overnight as it was quiet. Restaurant staff were spot on - friendly but not annoying. Food was perfectly adequate - other than my partner's steak that was delicious - but was a sunday and we werent there for the food.
Room was clean, spacious, quiet and extremely comfortable.
Location perfect although we did drive past once, and parking facilities on site cannot be sniffed at in bristol where parking is a nightmare.
IT was a sunday so fairly quiet, but lots of couples / families and we were not disturbed at all. All round excellent.
