I stayed at the Mayfair on Saturday night, the cost at £45 for a single room with bathroom was very reasonable. The Mayfair is a lovely Victorian house, exactly what I expected. The rooms were very comfortable, mine was cozy and at the top of the house, but I liked it that way... The room had lots of little personal,touches... A stuffed toy was on my chair..I first of all thought it was a cat. Tea and coffee was in a quirky tin( very impressed they had pucka herbal, tea too,) and Coalport china cups and saucers... Very sweet.
Breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked to order,. Lovely ... Oh and the bed was so comfortable. Parking was no problem, managed to park right outside, far better than staying in town.More
