We used this hotel for the second time as a one night (Saturday) stay as we visited our son who is at Bristol Uni. The hotel is well located in the dock area that has become a very vibrant part of Bristol. There has been a huge amount of refurbishment and new build in the area that has become a tourist destination.
The room was fine and well appointed with a water front view, however the bathroom was pokey in the extreme. Nice touches were the dressing gowns and slippers. The hotel was busy as was evidenced by the fact that the restaurant was unable to cope with the demand for breakfast and a second room had to be opened up, this was very much a second best as it had no view, unlike the main restaurant. The breakfast however was good with a wide choice, however the croissant was disappointing and seemed not to be fresh.
The main problem was not the hotels fault but the guests in adjoining bedrooms. There was a large wedding party staying a the hotel and we were unfortunate enough to have them staying in rooms either side of us. Unfortunate as they came back at 3:00am and had no hesitation in talking loudly about the wedding and putting their TVs on loudly. Their lack of consideration was frankly breathtaking.
