“Conference Setting”
Reviewed 15 October 2011

Spent two nights at this hotel for a conference recently. My room (Queen bed) was spacious and very comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful and even remembered my name on the second day. Breakfast was a good standard, the lunches were good for a conference with friendly staff. The only issues are with Bristol itself which has terrible traffic problems, unless you know the place you will almost certainly get lost.

I recently stayed in the Royal Marriott and as always the service was great, great rooms with the best beds I have come across on many hotel visits. It's location is fantastic. The Royal is my home every time I have to be in Britsol.

Just spent one night with a friend. When I booked this over the phone there were no twin rooms available, the girl I spoke to said she couldn't guarantee anything but she'd put a request through in case one comes available. We were given a lovely big room with 2 kingsize beds - fab. The staff are really friendly, courteous and helpful. Great location too. On the downside you have to pay for parking - £12 for 24 hrs, I'm sure they should waiver this for guests, also the car parking spaces are really tight so if you've got a big car you have to be careful.
However, this wouldn't put me off staying again and I'd definitely recommend it to other people.
I looked at the is hotel on generic late booking sites, I got it cheaper by booking through Marriott direct

At check-in, we accepted the invitation to upgrade our room to a Surerior room at an extra cost of £30 per night bringing the cost to £150 per night, which included a £25 allowance for dinner on the first night.
A good offer we thought but having asked for a quiet room, we found that the street noise didn't die down until 3am so we were unable to get a good nights sleep.
Furthermore, the meal was excessively salted, which meant it was inedible and we were offered a free glass of wine by way of appology. We didn't have the wine and were not offered another meal or our money back.
The Hotel is lovely and the staff friendly but regrettably, our experience was highly disappointing.

Room Tip: If you are not going to be out until the early hours and you want a good nights sleep, make sure the...

I cannot find a single fault at this fabulous hotel. Situated in the perfect location for all Bristol has to offer I cannot recommend The Royal Marriott highly enough. The staff are friendly and professional, the rooms are spotless and extremely comfortable (the beds are super!) Breakfast is first class, To stay here makes you feel really special and it is a beautiful building. I would definitely recommend staying here to guests for both business and pleasure. Overall a very enjoyable time for my husband and I. Looking forward to my next stay!

On arrival we were all met by smart - friendly - professional staff. They could not do enough for us. We were booked in and in our rooms within 10 minutes of arriving.
The rooms were spacious and very well laid out, clean and well kept.
At the main event and the subsequent meal, the staff were fantastic. there were staff detailed to give extra help to the mothers of small children, the attention to detail was fantastic.
The food was very good. even though this was a large function, all meals were delivered on time and well presented.
We would definately recomend this Hotel.
The only down side is the limited parking & the high cost of it!!!
Well done Royal.

Room Tip: They were all good
