I love staying at this hotel whenever I go to Bristol - good service, nice rooms, good breakfast and great location close to lots of good restaurants should you want to explore. Very welcoming on arrival and a lovely place to stay! Highly recommend it!

This is a really nice hotel, a little sprawling because it covers a couple of buildings. The rooms are really comfy and up to date, clean and air conditioned. The hotel has a great ambiance and the breakfast arrangements are good with a chef cooking eggs etc. to order. Two observations one was that there were lots of trays left in corridors that seemed to have been from the night before and the other is that the car parking seems very unwelcoming with signs that seem the threaten you if you don't pay an extortionate rate. You don't have to if you are a hotel guest, but ensure you tell reception as soon as you arrive.

Just a quick review to say how great the staff were. On a conference nearby the hotel was great. Very well looked after and full of staff with friendly faces. The conference i attended was about customer service and the staff at hotel should have presented.

The hotel sits right in the center of where you want to be and across the street from the harbor. The hotel itself is a bit grand and rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was full with eggs cooked to order. Service was very good with all needs accommodated. There is a great tea room and coffee seemed to be presnt in the lobby all day. Very enjoyable visit.

Three nights in this hotel. Visited SS GT Britain, Bath Wells and then Cardiff. Great venue near to the city centre, 2 good evening meals and superb breakfast. Very pleasant staff and generally in decent condition.

Stayed with family for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding elsewhere in Bristol, and was very pleased with our stay. It's a traditional style hotel, but well executed with everything up to a good standard. Room was spacious and comfortable with good facilities (satellite TV, tea & coffee, ironing board & trouser press, hair dryer) and was quiet despite being at the front of the building overlooking College Green. Tried the leisure club which was good - nice swimming pool & jacuzzi, with towels provided.

The staff were excellent - very helpful and friendly, everyone from the maids to the bar staff and front desk staff.

The only disappointments were the expensive car park (£14.50 per night), and the absurd charges for wi-fi in rooms. £6 for 1hr or £15 for 24hrs?? When your average cafe/pub/shopping centre now offers free wi-fi, it's very poor that a hotel that isn't cheap by any means will ask for more money for wi-fi in rooms. Come on Marriott, it's 2014 not 2000.

We stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Was slightly confused on check in when a woman in reception offered us Popcorn?? Also no help was offered with our luggage which was a pain as we had some quite heavy bags with us. Apart from that the room was lovely although it was superior so it should have been, we love Marriott beds, pillows and duvets, they are amazingly comfortable! Thought car parking was a bit steep at £15.00 per night. The bar staff were a bit rubbish in their service but the breakfast staff were good.

Room Tip: We had a corner superior room which was lovely!
