Chose this hotel because of its great location. The SS Great Britain, hippodrome, museum, harbour strip and shopping are all a 5 minute walk away. Hotel is a stunning building with lots of original features. Room was clean and spacious - my only complaint would be the bed was too soft and really dipped in the middle. Having said that we were surprised how quiet the room was as the hotel was really busy & the air conditioning unit was on, so we got a pretty good night's sleep regardless. Breakfast had loads of choice, parking on site is convenient. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. We will stay again.

Loved our stay at this hotel. Beautiful Victorian Building! We stayed in a suite and it was lovely, the staff from reception, waiters, housekeeping all of them were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The bed linen and pillows were so comfortable and luxurious it was like sleeping on a cloud! The only negative we have is that we were not informed that the restaurant would be closed on the Sunday evening, otherwise we'll definitely go back again.

Myself and my partner had the best time. The staff friendly& helpful. The room&facilities exquisite. The location slap bang in the middle of the town center easy access to so many things.. From beginning to end our stay was perfect. We will definetly be back. Marriott keep doing what your doing.
