This hotel is ideal if you are going for a night out to the bars & restaurants or shopping, located in the centre of Bristol. Warm cookie on arrival, friendly staff, comfortable room, great shower, ample parking (stayed Sat night). Good breakfast, quick check in/out, very clean did the job for me & my partner. Would highly recommend it.

Hotel is in a great location close to train station, harbour side and city. Very friendly staff in all parts of the hotel. Rooms are lovely very big TV and extremely comfortable beds. Room is small but for a short city break that's all you need. Breakfast is good although pre book for a better deal. Would stay here again and would try doubletree in other locations.

everything about the doubletree Hilton is wonderful! hotel staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, all your needs are covered ,we had a room with the best view of the next door spired church! the bed and pillows were delightfully comfortable and the room had all the extra and finishing touches you would need.We were on the top floor ,even when the church bells chimed the room was well sound proofed...and for 24hr parking only £7.50.will definitely be back!

Room Tip: have a sat nav or detailed road map at the ready, the Bristol road system is not the most forgiving...

Just 10 minutes from the harbourside, this hotel is perfectly located. It offered excellent value for money although we were upgraded to an executive room so didn't see any other rooms. Worked out at £66 per night. Great views of the church.

We stayed here when attending a concert at Colston Hall.

We are hhonors members and generally like Doubletree's. This stay exceeded our expectations.

Loyal hilton guests are treated very well, the room was superbly comfy and had everything needed and tge staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfadmst was faultless in terms of choice, quality and service. The kiln restaurant is an interesting place to eat in. The car park was convenient and the bar was a great place for a post show drink. This hotel has a convenient location - easy to get to by car and easy to walk to the bars and restaurants if the harbourside.

And all with the signature cookie. ..

This was a first visit and we chose the DoubleTree for its location. We drove down from Leeds on Friday and the first plus point was parking - right out front. Reception is on the second level and check in proved fast and efficient. After getting settled in our room we came down and asked for directions to the station - a short walk and we road the regular train to Bath - much better than driving and parking. After a similar journey back we got a good night's rest. We had breakfast in the hotel dining room - good choice and excellent service, before heading out for our day in Bristol, the walk into the city centre is no distance at all on level ground. We came back to spend our second night and enjoyed the quiet room, comfortable bed and excellent shower. Check out was efficient and professional, with no surprises. An enjoyable sty and will return when we come back to Bristol, and certainly recommend to our friends.
One potential security concern I noticed, is that rooms on the bedroom floors are accessible directly by lift from the ground floor (bypassing reception) without use of a key - wasn't a problem to us, but maybe some people would find this a bit of a worry.

I was delighted to read your check in and check out of the hotel was fast and efficient and that you found the location of the hotel being very close to Temple Meads Train Station was advantageous for you providing quick and easy travel to Bath.

Thank you for your comment regarding the front entrance lifts, please be assured we do have CCTV in all areas of the hotel and corridors ensuring the safety of our guests at all times. I can also confirm that we have just installed a central locking system on the front entrance and only guests can enter with the use of their room key card.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel again soon.

Travelling with 2 young children, this seemed like a good compromise in terms of location - not too far a walk from the train station, and not too far from the dockside attractions we wanted to visit (SS Great Britain and M Shed).

Check-in was quick and efficient, despite there being a stag-do group checking in at the same time, and we received our luke warm cookies (although we were told we could have warm ones later if we wanted) and voucher for drinks at the bar given my status with Hilton.

The accessible room on the 5th floor had a good view over St Mary Redcliffe, and was a decent size. The cot which we had asked for was already in the room and made up. The only shame, which is understandable given it is an accessible room, was that there was only a shower and not a bath.

We were woken up at 4AM by (we assume) one of the stag party trying to get into the room opposite. Clearly this isn't the fault of the hotel, but disappointing nevertheless.

We were out on Saturday between 10 and 2, when our toddler had to come back for a sleep. During that time the room had not been refreshed so we ended up not having housekeeping at all during our stay.

Our train was at 16.00 on Sunday and, although initially hesitant, we were given a late check-out so that we could go straight from the hotel to the train station.

We would certainly consider staying here again if we came to Bristol - if there was a rating between average and very good I'd probably award that, but given there isn't an option for good I'll go for very good.

Dear Guest.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review in relation to your recent stay with us. I was pleased to read your comments regarding your check in being 'quick and efficient' and that you particular liked the view from your 5th floor bedroom window which overlooked St Mary Redcliffe church.

I am sorry for any inconvenience that was caused to you and your toddler by your room not being serviced by 2pm. If you stay with us again and you require your room to be serviced at an earlier time we will be more than happy to do this for you, please just request this to one of our Receptionist who will ensure Housekeeping service your room at an earlier time.

We do hope you will come and visit us again when you are next visiting Bristol.
