“Excellent Location at Some Good Prices.”
Reviewed 26 October 2011

Fine sized rooms but bathrooms are small, air-con good but noisy, beds comfortable and well kept.

Bar is a bit dreary and bar food average, good breakfast with excellent healthy choices.

All in all a fine city centre hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room Floor 9 or 10, less road noise.

Check in was quick and efficient, the room was spacious with lovely views over the park. Coffee and tea making facilities but disappointed as no bottled water, fridge in room but this was empty. Check prices on internet because we booked beginning of September for mid October stay and rates were £113 bed and breakfast, when I checked rates 4 days before our stay rate was £79 bed and breakfast so obviously I changed booking to lower rate.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice (no mushrooms though).

Room Tip: Ask for room on 10th floor

Stayed 1 N as going to a show at the Hippodrome. Was able to walk to the Hippodrome in about 10 mins. Our double room had 2 double beds, very spacious. No complaints. Breakfast was good with all the usual on offer. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Bar service was good. Reception was efiicient. Did not use the pool/gym (had no time). Us girls went shopping next morning while the men went for a quiet walk along the river making the most of a little winter sun and then enjoyed a quiet pint (or two) people watching. Would we use this hotel again?............YES!

Room Tip: High view for a ggod view

stayed here overnight on business. Everything you'd expect from a Marriott hotel. Good central location with a NCP next door which guests get a reduced rate for. Room very clean spacious and nice to have an armchair so sit in to watch TV. would definately stay again.

After the initial upset of realising I had booked the wrong Marriot in Bristol my mind was soon put at ease by the very helpful reception staff,we were asked how high up we would like to be and opted for the 10th floor, the room was in an excelent condition with a balcony and fantastic view over the city, all the public areas are very welcoming and a very good shout goes out tto the spa and leisure facilities, breakfast was of an excellent quality and a very good selection, and to top of a perfect stay the hotel is situated right in the heart of this lovely city.

Room Tip: Request a high floor for good city view

Travelled with 14 people for a 2 night stay - all the rooms were of high quality and the beds were extremely comfy. The hotel was very accommodating with regards to preparing gluten free breakfast and dinner for my coeliacs anf the food was also excellent. Situated right in the heart of Cabot circus you will not be disappointed - definitely returning
