Get a room at either end away from the lifts they are very noisy. Get a room near the top, near the bottom the road noise is very loud.
Dinning room very VERY slow service, food service in bar OK, but restaurant is painfully slow.
Rooms OK, clean and spacious.
Very close to main city centre and shops, within walking distance. Quite a trek from train station, more than a long walk, needs a taxi

Good hotel great location but we had dinner in the hotel and this was not so great. It took them 2.5 hours to serve three courses and they were not busy. We had to ask them to clear the table after finishing our main course and sitting there for 30 min with empty plates in front of us. Would use hotel again but eat out this time.

We stayed here last week whilst attending a work Christmas party at the hotel. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The staff, especially at reception, where friendly and helpful.
The party was quite large as the room was shared by several different business's/teams, but it was very well organised, food was quick to arrive and extremely good, although the choices of wine were not brilliant, but that's fairly subjective!
The breakfast wasn't great tho' ..... Mainly due to poor service, a long wait for more bacon to be put out, and no bread for toast for quite a while in spite of requesting some.
Over all a pleasant experience, the hotel is right next to a shopping centre and within walking distance of other city attractions.

Room Tip: If it's party season a room on a higher floor ( we were on 7) will ensure a more quiet night!

Faultless weekend break at this hotel. Spotlessly clean and helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was very good with no queuing on this visit. Convenient position for the city centre which is on the doorstep. Would recommend this hotel.

This is one of those hotels that let the brand down. We stayed on a friday night to break a long journey but wished we hadn't. Location wise good for the centre of Bristol, accommodation wise poor, the room was bland, looked like something from the 70/80's probably when the last refurbishment took place. Reception tired, breakfast poor, we didn't eat it but left and found a very nice little place in Clifton Village, much better. The hotel feels like one of those cheap conference, wedding hotels, business traveller hotels. I use Marriott hotels all over the World and this one does win a prize as the worst I've stayed in.

Room Tip: Don't get lumbered with a room near the lift, awful noise
