Me and my boyfriend previously visited the Carluccio's in Liverpool Street - we both agreed it was possibly the worst meal we'd ever eaten. A few months later, after the memory had somewhat faded, we decided to give the Bristol branch another go. The location was great and there was plenty of sunny outside seating available. We decided that our previous experience must have been a fluke. It was not. The chicken I had tasted similar to something you can buy from Iceland for a pound and came accompanied with a puny and pathetic attempt at salad. We got the 2 course deal for around a tenner but this dish was on the regular menu for £12! My boyfriends' tepid ravioli was served in a puddle of grease and his garlic bread was soggy. Do not be fooled by Carluccio's facade, the food is TERRIBLE and overpriced.
