The hotel is a fairly recent conversion of what I seem to remember were government offices. It has a great location right in the city centre just by the bus station and the main shopping areas, just down the road from the hospital and not far from the University. The room was very nice, clean and bright, with a comfortable bed. Soundproofing was excellent and I did not hear anything, even though the room overlooked the main room. The bar, restaurant area was good and the breakfast was fine, though a bit expensive. Problems; well, the wi-fi was very slow which is not good when you have to pay extra for it and I found the security/concierge tended to be unhelpful and almost rude.

I had the pleasure of staying here on an overnight business trip to Bristol. The reception to this hotel is a little bland but don't let that put you off as the hospitality and charm of the staff as you walk in is outstanding.

The rooms are tasteful, clean, modern and very comfortable. The location was perfect for my needs. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be returning.

Normally stay at the radison blu when in Bristol for the evening. Found myself here due to the Radison being fully booked. The htel was lovely. The staff were attentive and the rooms were fantastic. Didnt manage to get up in time to sample the breakfast but will definitely be giving my business to this chain next time in Bristol.

The gentleman manning the front door through the evening was extremely chatty and very helpful.

A great hotel which is well looked after and maintained. Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay and was surprised at the high standard of service available. The convenient location was ideal for exploring bristols attractions. Will definitely be staying in holiday inns more often. Thank you.

We have just had one nights stay on Sunday 7th April. The reason we chose this hotel was their ability to fit a family of five in one room. The surrounding area isn't very pretty but you have access to shops and all the main attractions are about a 15 minute walk away. There is an NCP car park attached to the hotel which is very handy and you receive a reduced rate of £10 for 24hrs which is really good.

We were booked into one of their suites as these are the best for a family of five. I paid in advance for their cheapest rate on this room. At £125.00 for b&b for 2 adults and 3 children it was excellent value.

The suite was huge with lots of mod cons. It was all clean and tidy. There were a couple negatives about the room. The quality of the sofa bed wasn't great, the base wouldn't lie completely flat and the mattress was very very thin. The pillows weren't great either, even though there is a choice. Also there were a few things missing from our room. A remote for the tv, a remote for the tv in the bathroom and the alarm clock that has the ipod dock were all missing. I didn't ask for them as I didn't really need them and I'm sure staff would have found them if I had. Staff were very helpful. They arranged for early check in and came and showed us how to work the dvd function on the ps3.

Breakfast was good. Lots of choice but I think a 9.30 finish is a little early. Not a problem for us or people staying on business but wouldn't be great otherwise.

Over all very good value for money.

This hotel is near the station which is very convenient and has parking. The rooms were clean and tidy. Plus there were smoking rooms a bonus for us smokers. However what made the stay was the staff. They were absolutely charming.

Room Tip: depends i think they are all good.

Short trip to Bristol . This hotel is very convenient at the end of M32. Worth the stay in the executive rooms . Stayed in the quieter back of the hotel . + convenient , comfortable , modern , good bathroom . - wifi not free, got stuck in lift as card did not work , breakfast a little undercooked , short on loo roll . Would recommend though and stay again !

Room Tip: Upgrade to exec room for £8
