Just stayed for one night on the way home from Cornwall. Very comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities . Restaurant was great and the service excellent. Reasonably priced and very good value.

I stayed here on Friday 16th May,as i had left the Midlands very early that morning and worked within the Bristol business from 4am i phoned the hotel and requested an early check in at Midday.I arrived at 11.50am and was greeted by Hamda a very pleasant check in member of staff, within five minutes i had my upgraded room key and on route to my Fifth floor rear facing room. The air conditioning had been switched on so the room was lovely and cool on this the hottest day of the year so far! The room was clean and bright with all usual features and a DVD player. After spending an hour or so working on the free internet i ventured downstairs for a coffee and sandwich, service and food were both good. Had a very relaxing nights sleep before checkout at 7am. Would recommended this hotel and a "well done" to the front desk personnel especially Hamda.

Loved this hotel, very clean hotel room and service was ultra friendly. In particular I loved the new spot kitchen menu. The food tasted fantastic, I ordered the bristol burger (which looks as awesome as it tastes) and had the toffee sundae ice cream dish for dessert (candied pecans went very well with it). I think they using aberdeen angus for their beef - the patty was v tender.
I was served by irene and she was very pleasant and always had a smile.

Would definitely recommend eating here as the prices are reasonable too.

Hi John S

I’m really glad you enjoyed your recent stay with us and enjoyed your meal in the newly re-branded Spot Kitchen & Bar menu.

I can confirm that it is certified Angus used for all our burgers & steaks, and that the pecans have been a huge hit with everyone who has tried our hot toffee sundae.

Stayed here for 3 nights while at a music festival in the city. We were out and about all day, so didn't spend much time in the hotel, but our twin room was modern, clean and comfortable, with everything working. Could have done with a bit more tea and milk since there were two of us staying (and any chance of biscuits?), but that's only a minor gripe. Would stay again, definitely.

This is a great middle of the road hotel right in Bristol city centre. It has good sized rooms, a nice bar/restaurant/lounge, a small gym, and a car park (@£10 for 24 hours). Staff are efficient and friendly and the breakfasts are good for choice. This is an ideal business hotel and has wifi. The thing about Holiday Inn is that their quality is consistent wherever you are and this is no different.
Rooms are reasonably appointed and include a "power bar" at the desk to give you many connectivity choices. Beds are huge and comfy with a choice of pillows. Iron and board, and hairdryer are included. Shower is very nice and roomy and is a little room within the bathroom.
If you book through one of the hotel sites you can get a room for as little as £85 including breakfast, which is a significant saving over the £129 standard rate for room only.
Only let-down is it's proximity to run down/derelict buildings and a homeless shelter which means that you occasionally are approached by street people. But don't let that put you off - Bristol is no different from any other city in this respect.
It's just across the road from Cabot Circus which is a modern shopping/dining area, and less than 10 minutes walk from business areas.

Visited as part of a large tour group. Expectations were for a basic but comfortable hotel. Whilst the area immediately around the hotel and the exterior of the hotel were depressing, all other aspects of the hotel were very good, much better than expected.

The hotel service, layout, rooms, beds, bar and restaurant (both dinner and breakfast) were very good for this class of hotel. See note on room size below.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms on 6th floor (may be on all floors?) larger than odd numbers. No views from any...
