Iconic Brunel designed landmark, that is a must for your Bristol Itinerary. Get there via the No. 8 bus from town, but remember that the return is best on the No.9, as both go on a circular route via the outer limits of the city. While in Clifton don't miss the arcade and take in the view from the Avon Gorge Hotel terrace with a glass of something appropriate

Each time I visit Bristol (admittedly 2 years since previous visit), I make a point of crossing this magnificent piece of Brunel's engineering.

Brunels most accesible creation. Spectacular setting over the highest part of the Clifton Gorge. The view from South Bristol looking Northwest is fantastic. Also can be viewed from the Towpath down below beside the Avon river.
