It's two decades since I last visited and so much seems to have been added. The museum is awesome and answers so many questions. The ship itself is brilliantly presented and ideal for any age. A splendid attraction steeped in history.

The entry fee is £14 but it's valid for a year which I think is a good deal. It's a good place for everyone to learn and feel about the boat life on victorian times.

The SS Great Britain is so amazing because her new design changed the way we travel. You can learn a lot about the ship itself, its ingenious design and its meaning to the British empire. The museum inside the ship is really nicely decorated, trying to take you back in time so you can visit the past. The atmosphere is amazing. An adventure awaits everyone who is brave enough to climb aloft.

Our first visit to Bristol, highlight being the ss Gt Britain - a very moving story of a fantastic vessel, brought to life by the superb restoration and supporting exhibits. Very informative and NOT too "dumbed-down". Beautifully set in its original dock - couldn't be better.

Brilliantly restored pride of Brunel's engineering genius. The ship is full of all the details of its past (including as a troop ship in the Crimean war),many helpful staff around to ask questions . Cleverly arranged so that you can see 'under the surface' and the hull, rudder and the first propeller to drive a ship.
