This is a fine example of Brunel's wonderful engineering achievement. The ship has a wonderful and varied history beautifully illustrated both in the exhibition and on the ship itself.
We visited on Saturday with a group of sea cadets to do the Going Aloft .This involved climbing the mast and and climbing along the yardarm. They did this to raise funds as a sponsor for our unit. The youngest was only ten years old, and they all thoroughly enjoyed it,and would like to do it again.
Very interesting ,original iron ship, good for the whole family, see how things were and not reconstructed like most modern day stuff is, all local people must see this !!!
Very interesting from an engineering perspective, but wholly enjoyable for all sorts.
This gives an insight into the early days of luxury travel.
