[room203] location is ideal, there are so many eating places close by you literaly are spoilt for choice. we liked it so much we are going back for a longer weekend later in the year

Room Tip: room 203 is on the corner of the building so you get really goo views along the river

Stayed one night for a Theater Break,. The Hotel overlooks the waterside and we had booked early with a Queens room that overlooked the water. It's ideal for the Hippodrome as it is only a short walk. Also, it's quite close to Corn St. and a walk through to Cabots Circus.
The room was modern, comfortable, in a spotless condition and had a shower and a bath.
The staff were friendly and polite and the breakfast was well worth paying for, but don't pay for breakfast until you arrive (we got ours cheaper). If you don't want breakfast in the Hotel, you can buy one in one of the restaurants at the waterside (watershed).
Instead of going shopping, it is worth following the water and crossing the bridge to pay a visit to the M shed. It's free (voluntary donation) and has a great amount of Bristol History inside - well worth a couple of hours.
There is NCP car parking next door to the hotel (Queen Charlotte St), which should be £15 (down from £20) for 24 hours. Don't get caught out. Your ticket will be validated by the receptionist, but the charge at the pay point will still be shown as £20 at the machine. Push the help button before you pay for the advisor to change this.

Room Tip: Third floor is not to high up and quiet

We were disturbed by the TV in an adjoining room, The sound insulation can't be very good. Also the dining room at breakfast time was very cold with cold air coming out of the vents, on a very cold morning. It was quite uncomfortable. Otherwise we found your reception staff very friendly and helpful and we room rate was very reasonable.

I stay here occasionally when staying over for business in Bristol. The hotel does not disappoint and the location for me is perfect - near to the office and restaurants, bars and the shops. Cabots Circus is ony a good 5 minutes walk away. Room (superior) was OK with river view. No niceties, e.g. luxury toiletries, complimentary water etc.. but it is good value for money. Great beds, really comfy and quite firm. One thing I love about this hotel is that you can't hear your neighbour next door and the sound is non-existant. I did not eat or drink in the hotel in the evening but breakfast was excellent. There is an excellent choice and lots of healthy options. Must try eggs benedict or smoked haddock next time! Staff at breakfast were fab but staff on checking on and dropping off my suitcase were a little surly but not enough to spoil the experience. I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I stayed on the fifth floor, overlooking the river and this was fine.Would recommend.
