Have just returned from a two night stay at the mercure, booked a privilege room to enjoy a few little extras. Room was nicely decorated and clean although perhaps a little smaller than I anticipated but large enough to accommodate us comfortably, coffee machine was a nice touch although we only had 2 decaff capsules and 2 normal capsules and these weren't replenished at all during our stay although we used them the first day. Booked dinner and breakfast as part of our stay, the menu was small but had plenty of options and the food was lovely, the French waiters were polite, courteous and friendly and really enhanced our dining experience, the stern lady at breakfast could take a few tips from them!
We used this hotel as a base to explore bristol and take a trip to the theatre, it's location along the riverbank was perfect, central but peaceful.
All in all an enjoyable stay at a nice hotel, would use it again.

The reason for our visit was a wedding and so the hotel was booked as it provided an excellent base for the festivities of the weekend. It was a bitterly cold and wet weekend at the end of March (well this is Britain after all) but the welcome and the comfort provided at the hotel made up for a lot. The room was great with the all essential well fitted and everything working bathroom with separate shower. Admittedly we did not get to spend much time in the hotel but it could not have been better. If you do go have the breakfast it is excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front overlooking the water.

Another great stay, comfortable modern room with excellent service throughout, in particular the food & breakfast, wouldn't consider staying anywhere else! If travelling by car the adjacent NCP car park offers a 25% discount making it only £15 per 24 Hours which is similar to other city hotels with their own Parking!

Room Tip: Central take a river view room

This is the second time I’ve stayed in this hotel when visiting Bristol on business (I used to stay in another hotel actually on the Bristol Explore square on Canons way – very close to where I work, but to noisy)
Overall, modern hotel with helpful staff, rooms great value, clean, comfortable bed, good TV and a well fitted out bathroom – (even has a TV in the bathroom).
Location fine – especially if you get a room overlooking the water.
I’ve never actually eaten in the hotel, but local pubs and restaurants fine and with good ‘character’ – all within easy walking distance.
No Hotel car park and street parking difficult, but NCP car park next door which is handy
Try and get a Supreme Room – if you pre book (non- cancellable), you can get a great value room - ended up paying about £83 a night for 2 nights

Room Tip: Room overlooking the water for a great view

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here over a March weekend. My room, at the front of the building, was unusually shaped and interestingly designed! The street outside is a cul-de-sac and there was not much noise - nice view of the river. Despite having booked a long way in advance the cost was pretty high but the excellent buffet breakfast went some way to compensate. The hotel has a very good location in the city within an easy walk of many attractions - the lively Harbourside area, Waterfront, M-Shed Museum and St Nicholas Markets. Temple Meads railway station is about 15 minutes walk.

Lovely hotel, really clean and spacious, small balcony was a nice surprise.

Room service was quick but average but with many restaurant just round the corner there was no need to worry.

TV in the bathroom was a lovely touch, as well as the fast fill up baths!
