Stayed here overnight on business... First impressions are good, staff are very helpful, bedroom looks good when you walk in... confused by the screen in the bathroom as there were no instructions on how to use it which was a pity...

Location was brilliant but the bed (which is the most important part along with bathroom) was awful!!! Broken springs, lumpy, uncomfortable - not happy! If I had paid for it myself I would've complained!!!!!

On the plus side breakfast was brilliant, really good variety!

Had a room facing river Avon and was one of new "privilege" style - bed juts out at 45 degrees so doesn't make you feel walking into normal boring rectangular room. Although price was expensive

Great separate power shower cubicle aswell.

Only issues was only 2 check-in points so avoid at busy times as took over 40 mins to checkin - staff didn't really seem to know how to process things quickly when a queue had built and can be noisey at night with clubbers walking back by the river

Fantastic location. Nice hotel. Good value for money. Walking distance to nice restaurants and bars. Hotel breakfast is fab. The hotel bar and restaurant is also nice. I would recommend this hotel to others. Bristol is a nice choice for a weekend getaway.

Looking for a cheap, but reasonably comfortable room located centrally in Bristol around the harbour and I knew the Mercure would do the job if we could get a deal. Its close to the harbour area, queen square, park street and the center, so is ideal. £70 including breakfast for two seemed fair enough and the room was absolutely fine. Average size, with all the expected and not so expected, a 'tile' TV above the taps in the bath. Bed on the soft side and a street cleaner patrolled up and down the street for about 20 mins at midnight, (we were on the 2nd floor), so maybe ask to be on a higher floor, but nothing else to note in the negative. Breakfast was perfectly fine and a reasonable selection. Staff and front of desk friendly and efficient. Would happily return.

Room Tip: Its central and there are a number of pubs/bars in the area and it does get busy at the weekends, so ask for a room on the higher floors to avoid the street noise at night.
