Stayed for 1 night whilst on business. Central location with a NCP car park next door. Guests recieve a 25% reduction. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Hotel room itself was getting a little tired but was very clean, my pet concern. Also the room was very quiet considering that the hotel is very central for bars and restaurants. It was booked through our business accommodation but seemed very good value. Buffet breakfast was up to scratch with decent ingredients no indelible sausages etc. which some hotels serve up. Pleasant stay

We had a lovely comfortable weekend ( 3 nights) a very nice room overlooking the River & a large comfortable double bed.
Bathroom was well equipped with a brilliant walk in shower.
Wi Fi throughout hotel was perfect.
Had dinner in the Restaurant the first night as it was our wedding anniversary & set three course menu was delicious.
Service was first class from all the friendly staff.
In all we really enjoyed our stay.

My partner and I stayed here during July 14. It is nestled beside the river on a cobbled street just a short walk away from plenty of nightlife and shopping.

The room was fine, but don't bother paying the extra £10 per night to be in the front of the hotel. It looks lovely in the pictures, but when you are in the rooms (I've stayed there before) you don't get the river view because of the trees that are in front. We stayed at the back of the hotel which is also much quieter. The aircon in the room was a bit breathless so we had to ask for a fan at reception which they supplied, it was during a mini heatwave though.
It is quite accessible from the airport bus if you get off at St Marys Redcliffe church, it's then about a 6-700 metre walk Normally it might be ok. Overall, not a bad hotel, I would stay there again. I would give it 3.5 'blobs' if you could, it's better than average but not quite very good.

Stayed two nights over weekend at start of August
Hotel at small dead end of Welsh Back on Bristol docks and was just far away enough from "Party Central" of a Bristol weekend to be quiet. Glad we stayed there rather than at Radisson etc - which are in the firing line for noisy parties.
Really nice room, pleasantly furnished, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, decent size fridge in room, good air-con.
Pleasant, friendly and efficient staff.
Kettle did now work properly, told front desk and it was replaced 10 minutes later.
Our overnight rate included breakfast - which was excellent with, once again, pleasant and efficient staff.
Excellent, fast, free Internet.

Room Tip: Driving into Welsh Back from Baldwin Street/Queen Charlotte Street you need to turn left on Welsh Ba...

Myself and a colleague were staying at this hotel for 1 night a couple of weeks ago as it was pretty close to our traininig course office. We arrived in the hotel to be told that we had booked superior rooms but none were left, so they would have to upgrade us. Brilliant! I was then told that breakfast wasn't included in my room rate, although it clearly stated on my booking that it was. The member of staff amended that for me no problem and we were able to enjoy breakfast the next morning. Before i sat down for breakfast, i decided to check out, that was all fine until my colleague went to go back to her room after breakfast to discover that her key wasn't working as they had checked her out aswell?! Anyway, after two trips in the elevator we were finally ready to go but first we wanted to leave our suitcases. To my horror the member of staff simply sat our cases at the side of the check in desk on a trolly?! When i questioned if that was the safest place for them she said yeah no one will leave, but i insisted on having my case put away, to which she replied "it's all the same anyway, but yeah i'll put it away" What?! Quite infuriating.

Other than that the brekkie was fab and i love Bristol as a place. Maybe the staff were having a bad day!
