Spent 1 night in family room (4 of us) - snug but very clean and comfortable - not the most glamorous setting but extremely convenient for city centre access and travelling on quickly. Staff were really lovely!

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Glastonbury Festival. We chanced upon it using Google Maps when we were locating Bristol bus station. There is two minutes walk between the two - very handy when you are carrying heavy rucksacks!

We had a couple of minor problems with the automated check-in. Finding our room was very easy. The room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfy. On arrival, we only had one set of towels for the two of us, but this was quickly resolved.

My only niggle was the air conditioning only went down to 19 degrees which was still too warm and we could not open the windows for fresh air.

However, the good far outweighs the bad and Premier Inns are ideal for city breaks. I would recommend them above other chain budget hotels.

Stayed here recently & was very impressed with hotel. Usual standard of premier inn hotel but staff were extra helpful & pleasant!! Location of hotel was excellent & although very large hotel & we were on 14th floor we were only disturbed 1 night by noise!! There were a few stag & hen parties staying at same time as us but there is a full security staff team on duty checking who's coming into hotel & that there are no problems & thankfully noise that disturbed us was only ppl saying "good night" in corridors!! We also has party of school kids staying at same time & some ppl found it annoying that they'd pressed lift to stop at all floors, I thought it was funny, this was sorted out quickly though when someone complained to staff & they spoke to teachers involved!! Breakfasts were excellent & served over a period of 3hrs although food in beefeater connected to hotel on night before was decidedly average!! All in all it was an enjoyable stay & location of hotel can not be faulted....definitely will be staying here again on next visit to Bristol!!

Me and my partner stayed here for my birthday. It was lovely. 14th floor, beautiful view, clean rooms, and peaceful. Bliss. Used my discount card, but would happily pay full price. Very ideal also, right next to the town which we loved. The only downside, was the underground walkway. But we managed to avoid where possible. Would definitely come here again, we both had a weekend to remember. :)

We were in Bristol for a couple of nights to see a band at the Bristol Bierkeller.
I booked the Premier Inn, primarily for it's location and the unbeatable price of £29. We managed to park in the hotel's own car park (£8 for 24 hours), accessed by a ramp at the rear of the building. it is then down one flight of stairs (or lift) to reception. Check-in can either be done via machine or human and is relatively quick and straightforward. We had a room on the 10th floor which was clean and comfortable. My only moan would be that the windows had inaccessible net curtains (surely not necessary on the 10th floor), and the windows were locked and could not be opened even a small amount to let air in. The room is air conditioned but this was quite noisy and if you are a light sleeper you may have to turn it off. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and supplied with soap and shower gel. Unfortunately, when we visited, our "neighbours" in the adjacent room chose 5am to have an animated conversation.
Despite this, I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a city centre hotel; especially if you can get it for £29!

Not the most beautiful location but very central. Stay started off poorly - had spoken to hotel prior to stay to request high room with view and this was agreed. When we arrived the request had not been noted and the receptionist (a young man) said there was nothing above floor 5 as there were two stag and hen parties occupying the two top floors (16 & 17). We went to the room and it was awful (tiny and dark with one window which had a net curtain between the double glazing and overlooking an office). Went back to reception and this time we were dealt with very efficiently by Alice who took a lot of trouble finding us not only a higher floor, 15, but also one with a view over to the distance hills. The hotel is as usual very clean and quiet with helpful and friendly staff and easy to reach all the places we wanted to visit.

Stayed here at Christmas to have a mini break.
The hotel is quite nice, not grand, which is the idea in principle.

The dining area is the Beefeater restaurant on the ground floor , and the site has a tiny lobby area with a member of staff on call and a couple of vending machines with sweets and sugary drinks etc like a bus station.

The room itself was comfortable and had a nice bathroom, and was minimalist in approach.

This was nice enough , but the design of the place had clearly been done to shave pennies wherever possible , and the fittings etc very low rent, the fabrics used for curtains etc lacked imagination and were clearly very cheap, if fairly harmless..

The bedside reading lamp was next to useless for reading from,, but the bed comfortable enough.

Having designed hotels & interiors I recognised they had used every trick in the book to save money, and , well, it showed. This was a bargain deal , so I kind of knew what to expect.

I was awoken at six in the morning on Christmas day by the receptionist,(I had asked for 9 AM!), only to discover the dawn hour when I went down for breakfast at 7 to a shut restaurant.
I pointed this out, and no apology was offered and was impossible to get back to sleep again.

Curiously their 'Good Night's Sleep Guarantee ' was never honoured
This was highly irritating, but did not raise hell as it was Christmas , and I felt sorry for the staff working those hours.
I wrote this on the card etc, and was never offered an explanation or any partial refund.

The breakfast was OK,nothing special, and felt too formularised , like a service station self service.
This was OK overall, but not quality as such , with all the jams etc in this little plastic cartons, the coffee of the powdered instant vending machine variety.

Other irritation was the piped music , which was like listening to a second rate petrol station/Radio One Christmas CD..dreadful.

The decor in the restaurant was fairly well designed, clean and comfortable , and not at all bad as chain restaurants go.

The staff however, were very nice and could not have done more, bar the wake up call fiasco.
Stayed there two nights in total, but think will go to a proper hotel next time for such a break.

Premier Inns are fine if you need to keep things simple and just need somewhere with no frills for a cost effective night's rest or business travel.
They are certainly not premium hotels, and to some the name could be a bit misleading!

However , all in all represent reasonable value , fairly foolproof ,but nothing to get excited about.
