Not much to add to the other 5 star reviews. The gated entrance and grandness of the house make it feel special. Mrs Macdonald is very helpful. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The bed linen is good quality. The breakfast is typical english: bacon, sausage, tomato, mushroom, eggs, toast. There is also a selection of cereals and spread to have as well. Also, tea and coffee and orange juice are served.

I was out late the night we stayed but had a key and the code to the gate so this was no problem. Great place to stay for University of Bristol graduation, it's a very short walk to the Hawthorns and Wills Memorial Building.

Room Tip: Upstairs room is slightly lighter.

I booked this accommodation on the day of arrival as a surprise for my wife, requiring a charmful B&B near to all the great restaurants Bristol has to offer. I'm pleased to say it didn't disappoint, location is great, located very close to the heart of Clifton and there is parking available behind security gates, reassuring for the motorists amongst us.

On arrival we were greeted by our landlady, Delia, who explained how the gates work, showed us how to use the front door properly and asked what our breakfast choices would be. She then showed us to our room, bringing fresh milk to make tea with. (Its the little things which make good service) She also showed us how the evening shutters work - shutting out both the light, making for excellent rest on summer nights, but also any hustle and bustle of the city (not that there seemed to be much, the grounds are large for the city and the street is relatively quiet)

The accommodation was equally excellent, with large Georgian rooms, decked with period furniture, if your significant other is in to all things "vintage" they will love this place. (see the photos) The bed was large and comfortable - we both got an excellent nights sleep. One nice touch was the fresh flowers in our room and on the breakfast table.

Whilst we are on breakfast - The full English was superb, excellently cooked, not greasy in the slightest. Before the main, you can stock up on a selection of cereals, yogurt and toast (with real butter). Coffee is served in individual cafetieres. Delia assured us that if we wanted anymore, we could ask, so please do not think that you will not get a hearty breakfast here. You will!

Finally, after breakfast, before departure I took a shower, which was hot and powerful.

All in all, I thoroughly recommend this place - its a shame it has so few reviews so far - it deserves a higher position!

Room Tip: We had the ground floor double bedroom (which I believe can be made into a twin) - see photos and re...

Clean & comfortable, real cotton sheets, Wonderful georgian house, HUGE rooms and off street parking, Lovely breakfast cooked just the way I like it.
The location is great, walking distance from the Suspension Bridge, Bristol University and Clifton Village. Beautiful Gardens. Delia Macdonald was very helpful and friendly, made us feel very much at home.

This must be as good as it gets as far as B&B's go and I have seen a few. We were made very welcome by Mrs Macdonald, the proprietor who showed as where to park our car behind their electronic security gates. The ensuite room was immaculate with egyptian cotton bedding, laundered above hotel standards. The hospitality tray was full and even contained cocoa and horlicks for a nightime drink, biscuits also supplied. After a heavenly night's sleep we had a terrific breakfast where everything was hot and there was no hanging around.

On our second day we had time on our hands and Mrs Mac, who has a great wealth of local knowledge, was able to help us plan a day which ensured we got a real taste of Bristol. Second night also bliss followed by another breakfast which included home made jellies and preserves.

The location of this B&B, plus the on-site secure parking at no additional cost, makes it top of m y pops and we will be back in the Autumn when my cousin is getting married.

This is an interesting B&B with lots of old items on display and a enormous number of books. Mrs Delia Macdonald is friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was adequate but not large and car parking is restricted.

We stayed in Park House for a weekend mid March and had a very good experience. The room (with ensuite bathroom) was clean and comfortable (e.g. there was a kettle with tea, coffee and milk available). The rooms for guests are part of the rest of house, which gives a "homely"/cosy feel to the place. It is well located - a short walk into the centre of Clifton, which was what we needed. The breakfast was one of the highlights - a proper home-cooked English breakfast served by the landlady.
