Went to stay for a couple of days to visit my daughter. Firstly, the staff are really friendly and helpful, no issues there. My room was nice and pleasant, however you need to bear in mind that it's an old building and so the rooms are really stuffy in hot weather. There's no air conditioning,so a fan is supplied and you'll need the window open all the time. If you were at the front of the building, as I was, the noise in the morning is quite considerable. There's also no lift, which may be a problem if you are an older person. Lastly, the parking. It's limited to about 8 spaces at the front of the hotel, all chargeable at £6.50 a day, so either book ahead or it's a drive around the streets every time you need to park up.
All in all, a pleasant hotel. A few niggles, but it is what it is, so as long as you know what you're getting.....
