What a hidden gem nestled away in bitton up a little narrow road you will find the amazing place that is Avon valley railway .......took my mum on their cream tea train which was wonderful.......served by a lovely lady amazing home made scones fresh cream and jam as much tea as we wanted.....the trip was fabulous and we had a wonderful time reliving memories of when trains such as these were in service and used to take us away on holiday.......once we left the train we wandered around the site so much to see and ended up sat in one of the two static carriages named Margaret and rose they were beautifully presented and the array of food on offer was second to none and very reasonably priced generous portions served by a very friendly team!!!!
Our day out was wonderful cannot recommend the Avon valley railwAy more highly if you haven't been then you are missing a real treat!!!

Called in for tea and rolls when walking the Bath to Bristol railway path. Proper mug of tea for 1.20
And good value food. Extensive menu with a home cooked feel to it. Spend time to look at all the restoration work and the special events they run.

Another great day out.We enjoyed the bus trip from Keynsham to the station, the train ride and all the other included things to see and do. The balloon lady made a great train from balloons. The ride on the tiny train, the brake car and swing boats was fun.

All the staff work so hard to make the day a huge success.

We look forward to the next event.

We visited yesterday and had a great time. As people have said, the journey time is short but if you've got children then they really don't mind. Loved the old carriages. Go when the steam train is running and you can watch it change ends which is fun. Also take a picnic and sit in the picnic area and feed the swans. We spent about 2.5 hours here, but you could spend all day going up and down if you like.
