“Excellent place to visit”

I'm surprised at some of the poor reviews on here!!!! I loved our visit to Bristol Zoo. As soon as you walk in there's enclosures with animals to see straight away (despite what someone else has said below!) and everything seemed really clean and tidy and well looked after. The gardens at this time of year were beautiful and colourful, so I guess the flower beds always have something pretty growing at all times of the year. If it rains there are covered parts aswell. Our grown up kids loved the "Zooropia" attraction. For a small fee they could go on a giant adventure assault course which they loved. Big place to eat with seating undercover outside. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely go again.

“Bristol zoo”

I love it. We are members thanks to a gift from our son, and go often. It would have got 5 stars if the catering facility was better, but one can always take a picnic.

“Very poor”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

My partner myself our daughter and grandson visited on saturday 18th april. Price 46.00 in total. Hadnt been to the zoo since i was a child and was disappointed with the day we had walked around for 20 minutes before we saw one animal/creature and what we saw was a cockroach GREAT.......... Everything looked like it hadnt been touched or cleaned since i was last there as a child.....animals were not very active which is hit or miss at the zoo....but the place in whole is in need of a lick of paint animals looked like they hadnt been cleaned out in days....... I suggest the extra hour travel and go to folly farm where the place is spotless plenty of keepers around the farm cleaning feeding the animals etc play areas for the kids and plenty of toilets which bristol zoo only had 2 lots of toilets not good when u have a 4 and 7 year old... Loved the place as a child but wont be taking my children or grandchildren back there.

Bristol zoo gardens is a good place to see animals that your not going to see in the next 35-40 years of your life (depending on your age) its quite big and a little splash area massive green to sit on while you have your lunch and I high rope for £7 but its massive (totally worth it) its very clean and thd shop can be quite expensive but its for charity and there having a new bit built for something new that i have seen from the outside
But its a great day out and its totally worth it

“Great family day out”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Have visited Bristol Zoo many times with the family. Can spend most of the day there. Lovely gardens, interesting events and animals well cared for. Parking conveniently near. Plenty to see outdoors and in covered areas. Children always love it, from toddlers to teenagers.
