4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2014 via mobile

Came to the zoo for a day out. Haven't been since I was a child. Really enjoyed the experience

Would have liked to see the gorillas and lions move around but hey it was warm

Really enjoyed the day.

“Nice park but some really poor service.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2014

The park itself is pretty to stroll around. There arent many larger animals to see, but lots of smaller things to keep the children entertained. However, the staff lack either proper management or any initiative of their own. Simple things such as, if you are staffing a sandwich/snack bar and your card machine breaks, use your common sense and work out that a fair few of the people in the massive que may be intending to pay by card, may not have cash and may be annoyed if they are only told that they cant AFTER they have chosen their food and qued up for 20 mins. This happened to me and then, whilst I sat with our son and waited for my husband to find a cash machine, happened to numerous people who came in after us. Put a sign up, it's not complicated! Also, why have vending machines if they are all out of order? And in the height of the summer season, you need staff checking the toilets on a regular basis. The state of the ladies indicated this was not even being done occassionally and I feel genuinely sorry for whoever has to clean them at the end of the day. Overall, we wont rush back. There are so many attractions in the Bristol area that this is a really average offering.

“Absolute Joke!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2014 via mobile

We took my 3 young children to the zoo for my wifes birthday. Drove an hour from south wales only to find that all the car parks were closed and that the park and ride was 20 mins in tbe oppersite direction, this is after we pre booked tickets to come. What a joke! If you visit do so on foot or prepare to have a long day of travelling

“A great city zoo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2014

Having been a member when our children were younger, we decided to return for a summer treat. We were not disappointed, the staff care and the facilities are clean and plentiful. Like all attractions the food prices are high but with plenty of picnic space this can be easily resolved. Conservation is the name of the game and the animals are small to allow them to be cared for in the small space the zoo occupies in Clifton. Our 4 youngsters enjoyed the shows and exhibits as much as they did when they were tiny. For people visiting, don't expect big animals the animals are in a small city zoo. Ask questions as the staff are very helpful, visit the shows and talks they are free and the staff are informative and friendly. Like many attractions it is not cheap, but there is more than enough to do and if local the membership provides good value with families of children under 14. Bristol zoo has evolved and improved at a good pace, providing new experiences.

“Fairly good”

Was quite a lot to see so took time. The aquariums and seals were my favourite parts and were beautiful.
