“Lovely old building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2013

I was pleasantly surprised as how beautiful the old building was the architecture was beautiful, I only wish there were more rooms open. Being a national Trust member I thought if I was paying to entre this property you do not get a lot for your money. What they do have open has a lot of history just sorry we could not see more of it. Think you are missing a trick here. They have a small area outside where you can have a cup of tea, but it really needs more work. The plastic tables and chairs really are awful. It was a good cup of tea though. Glad I have been but will not be back.

“Lovely house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2013

Beautiful 14th Century house, perfect for a quick visit. Interesting rooms, friendly and helpful staff,
A nice terraced garden with great views of the house, and a welcoming tea kiosk. What is there not to like?

“Mixed feelings.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2013

The staff in the house were very welcoming and knowledgeable. The glass collection is amazing and worth the visit on it's own. it is a repeat visit for us after some years absence and we were very disappointed with the garden. There was very little of plant interest and it all looked a little tired. What a shame. We felt so much more could be done with the grounds.

“Could not get in!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013 via mobile

Travelled a considerable distance to visit this property. It has very limited opening hours and so checked both iPhone app & NT website to ensure it was open. On arrival ( in heavy rain) could park but could not get into the house as it was too busy. Could the website not have said as much to avoid this waste of time? Doubt if I shall bother trying to visit again.

“Delightful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

We had a fantastic time at Clevedon. The house felt warm and welcoming and this was largely in part due to the lovely staff and volunteers. The lady who greeted us really got in to the
Iively spirit of our visit (even when one of our party rang the door bell!). She set the tone of the volunteers who were all knowledgeable but not pushy and extremely friendly. It felt like being in a family home and we were all welcome guests. The toilets were very clean and the tea and cakes were very nice. Nothing about the house felt commercial and you could enjoy every aspect at your own pace. Well done to all involved!
