My husband and I have eaten at 4500 Miles from Delhi on a few occasions on a visit to Bristol breaking a shopping/cinema trip.
We enjoy going to this restaurant for Sunday lunch as it is slightly off the beaten track and have always enjoyed our visit.
Again we were not disappointed. Restaurant was busy /constant flow of customers but no so that we squashed between diners. We were seated immediately and drink orders taken. You dont have to order drinks and on a previous visit we just wanted iced water and received a large jug which was topped up when empty.
On offer is starters/mains and dessert - small selection of each but something to suit all tastes. We ate a little of each course which was ample for us but if you have a large ampetite you can fill your plate to maximum. What we like about the buffet is we can eat when we please having a break between courses - you are not rushed off your table as we have had in the past with other restaurants.
Staff are friendly but no intrusive and if you want service they are there almost immediately otherwise they leave you in peace to enjoy your meal.
My only comment would be to make the buffet area lighter so that you can read the small labels on the dishes - apart from that we enjoyed our meal and when next in Bristol will again have lunch here.

We travelled 45 miles to eat at this restaurant... And everything from food presentation to cutlery to service, impressed us... A must visit Indian restaurant and one must try the Dal makhni and Tawa paneer tak-a -tak (especially the veggies)...

This Indian restaurant is way above your average. The dishes are presented beautifully and the quality of the food is great. The staff are warm and welcoming and very friendly. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Bristol!

This is a city centre Indian restaurant worth finding. We tried the lunch buffet £7.95 all you can eat, on Valentines day. I do not generally enjoy buffet type restaurants as the food is mostly of poor quality. This was genuinely different. The restaurant itself was clean and had a relaxing ambience. (They were fully booked for the evening and I suspect it would be a buzzing atmosphere). The staff were pleasant and inviting without being too pushy. The variety of buffet food was good. Beautifully presented and everything looked and tasted fresh. All food heaters were clearly labelled. Plenty of choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Including some unusual dishes, not just the same old ones. My only suggestion would be to label the selection of dips; although I confess to enjoying a small bit of each one (curiosity you understand!). My son (12) went back three times and tried a range of food from chicken pakoras to lamb curry (can't recall the correct name). Baskets of freshly baked naan breads were delivered free to all the tables and they were simply delicious. We observed a range of diners; groups, couples, single people and all were looked after impeccably. The lunch buffet prices were good value. I agree with other reviews that the prices are slightly expensive for the main menu, however I believe this is due to location (city centre) AND checkout the choices of slightly different dishes, surely worth a try? We look forward to returning to try the al la carte menu.

i agree with another writer- Felicity it was ok but not the best ive had. went there with family on a groupon voucher. staff were there but not friendly. food was average not the best ive tasted, lumpy rice unlabelled dishes and not overly fresh. wouldnt go there again as there are plenty of other restaurants serving better quality food and better service not too far away.
