Stayed here with my wife following an evening out in the city centre, about 15-20 minutes away. The hotel is close to the M32 for easy access to Bristol centre, and is in a quiet area.
The staff were friendly, helpful and informative, from the moment we arrived until we checked out the following morning.
Our room was excellent and well maintained, the beds were extremely comfortable and the shower room was bright and well designed.
The complimentary breakfast was good, with a fine selection of food and beverages.
We have stayed at various Holiday Inn Express hotels, they have always met our expectations in terms of comfort, value and service, and this one in Bristol is no exception.
Whenever we need to stay in Bristol in future, this is the hotel we shall choose.,

I stay at this hotel regularly as you can’t go wrong with its location, service or value for money. The reception staff are great; very friendly, polite and thoroughly professional.

The rooms are modern and simply furnished with barest of essentials, TV, kettle, light (oh and a bed!), but then it is an “Express”.

There is no restaurant at the hotel but the Fox Den Pub which is adjacent to the hotel serves great home cooked meals or of course there are plenty of eateries nearby.

The breakfast is a canteen style “grab and go” type affair with a minimal choice but perfectly adequate if you stay regularly on business.

The hotel has finally decided to offer free in-room Wi-Fi to guests rather than just in communal areas which was is a real bugbear of mine when I t comes to hotels. The speed isn’t great and to honest I can get a better service through mobile telephone, but at least they have made the effort and it’s free (although I’m sure that the price of the room more covers the cost of Wi-Fi use).

A great hotel for short business stays, no frills, very clean, comfortable and you know exactly what to expect with a consistent experience each time.

Just returned from a stay at this establishment- we stayed over Thursday/Sunday...
Out of choice this would not have been our pick to stay in as it was away from the Exhibition we were attending.
The positives the rooms are clean and the shower etc are fine . There were two of us in the room my colleague had the bed- I had the put you up...This was very uncomfortable
The last night we stayed there were 2 mini-buses from Dane Hill School of youngsters, who basically were running riot outside our room well after mid-night. We had heard the teachers telling the children to go to bed at 10.30 but hey adolescents away from home...
The breakfasts are very basic -
Breakfast cereals & Muesli fine - Cooked breakfast consists of some unpleasant sausages, baked Beans and something that was meant to be scrambled eggs - It looked like this had never seen a chicken and was potentially powdered eggs..Yuck!
The alternative was a continental breakfast - which was fine except the Croissants rather than just being warmed through were desecated and unpleasant...There was no honey for the Meusli/Toast just Marmalade and Apricot jam...
Hot drinks came from a vending machine!

Room Tip: No preferences several other people staying had a similar experience to us

Fairly new hotel and very comfortable. Excellent location if you are visiting DE&S @ Abbeywood (approx 10 min walk). Didn't eat in the hotel apart from breakfast, which was the usual complimentary continental breakfast with a couple of hot options available as well. The Fox and Hound is right beside the hotel and does excellent food, although it can get quite busy. The only complaints I would have are that you have to request an iron and ironing board instead of having one available in each room, and the advertised 'Free Wi-fi' gives you a whopping 0.1 Mbps. I found it 20 times quicker using 3G.

We booked two double rooms as we had a family event in Bristol over the weekend. We wanted a cheap but modern place to stay, and that's exactly what we got.

Service was very good, especially when one of our children was sick in bed at 2 am (it was disgusting). Our call to reception was answered immediately and we got new bedding within minutes.

Breakfast was adequate, but all included in the price of the stay, which was cheap enough.

We'd definitely recommend it.
