“Just plain bad...”
Reviewed 29 January 2014 via mobile

Went to Revolution in Central Bristol and was somewhat taken aback by the decor - it looked like an explosion in a shabby chic outlet store and was garish and quite odd.

My friend found a seat and was met by a friendly waiter whilst I went to the bar. The bar staff were rude, ignored me and seemed genuinely disinterested. After paying £8 for too ice cold pints of ale (note to bar, this isn't a good thing, it should really be tepid to make it drinkable), we stuck around just long enough to decide this place wasn't for us and left.

I'm sure it's not always like this and perhaps the guys were having an off-day, but when discussing business with a new client the last thing you want to do is hear them spend 15 minutes moaning about the venue!

“Better than Expected”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

Had booked as a group and pre ordered our food. Staff very friendly, but a pretty long wait for both main course and dessert considering everyone had pre ordered. Main course of Moroccan bean burger was lovely. Cheesecake for dessert tasted good, but was much too heavy going. Vodka shots that were provided as part of the meal deal were not to my taste, too sickly and sweet. Thought the cost of £14.95 per head was quite expensive for what you actually got. Lovely touch was framed pictures on the table with our friends name and his birthday on it.

“Ok food but unexpected guests”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

We held a party in 2011 at Vodka Revs and the food was standard fries and mini burgers. Ok, it was pretty cute and the food was ok, but we didn't approve of our party being gatecrashed by strangers. What is it about the words "private function" that people fail to understand?
