Description: Occupying an amazing space in the Tobacco Factory, the new Thali Cafe in Southville is the Thali's most ambitious project yet, with a fabulous bar and a restaurant that can seat over 100 diners. Right next to the thriving Tobacco Factory Theatre it’s the perfect place for a pre or post-show meal or drink. The Thali Southville is also the first of our restaurants to serve the new menu; with an emphasis on sharing we’ve introduced lots of exciting new dishes whilst keeping all of the Thali favourites. Quirky decor. Great atmosphere. Free Wifi. Kids welcome. Award-winning Tiffin Takeaway scheme. Please book to avoid disappointment.

“Tasty vegetarian food”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We turned up to the restaurant at the most busy time on a Friday night so we were very lucky to find a table. We were initially turned away but called back having just stepped on the pavement by an apologetic waitress offering us her last free table.
We were not disappointed. Out of the four of us two ordered the same meal so from the three dishes I saw the were all very well presented. The ingredients were fresh and the flavour combinations were delicious. The light meal options were still adequate for my main meal and room to share a yummy dessert at the end. Very friendly and attentive service, not a long wait for food even thought they were full and busy with a constant stream of takeaway orders.

“Thali cafe is great”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

Been to... 4 of their restaurants, they're all great

Expect a different, but amazing selection of food to your more bog-standard Indian restaurants. The food here tastes fresh, authentic, comforting and actually good for you, not like some curries you get swimming in grease and food colouring

“Bright in every respect!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Bright decor, bright service, bright and spicy food! I really refreshing change from the heavy, fatty curry served in most Indian restaurants (not that I don't love heavy, fatty food!) - it's really wonderful to be surprised by a meal - and the taste, presentation and combinations in my dishes were a delightful surprise. The service was brisk and friendly, everyone in our group of 5 enjoyed their meal, prices are reasonable for the quality of food, and I will be returning soon I hope. Thali Cafe has gone straight into my list of favorite restaurants!

“Big group well looked after”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

10 of us were easily accommodated, sharing popadoms and starter platters went down really well. The simple options offered for the mains means little menu pondering was required as everyone was nattering. Service was quick and efficient, very impressed all round.
The atmosphere of all the thali cafés is bright and welcoming, the plates are good Indian food; the mains are a tray of curry, Dahl, salad, rice etc which makes a delicious dinner.

“Mid Week Dinner”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Never eaten here before and decided to try as my father was staying close by and he had seen it. Mid week, very busy and very interesting menu. Food came very quickly after ordering and was very hot & tasty. Good very Vegetarians and meat eaters as they cater for both. Cider was exceptionally nice and a very unusual Brand although from just up the road Hereford. Really enjoyable and an extremely once Chicken curry. All 4 of us had something different and all 4 enjoyed it and we satisfied. A busy vibrant place and well worth a visit.
