Stayed here when running the Bristol 10Km Race 2011 and 2012. An excellent premier inn. Great location - so good many eateries, pubs, Sainsburys Express all nearby. The Cabot Circus is a 10 minute walk away. Parking right outside the hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very good (only tried the continental option because of the run). Will return definitely.

The hotel was just under £5 in a cab from the station but could also be walked in 10/ 15 mins and is right in the centre of lots of bars and restaurants.. The staff were very friendly and helpful and anything we asked of them, directions, a map, to order a cab was done efficiently and cheerfully. Our room overlooked a pedestrian street with several pubs on it so we had pub tables right outside our window. This was fine the first night when it was raining but on the second night when it was warm it was rather noisy from both the people and bottles being dumped into the bin by the pub. The room (132) was fitted with secondary glazing but there was one panel missing so this couldn't be closed. Premier offer a Good Night Guarantee so we could have complained and had the night free but fortunately we were both so tired we slept through it so we didn't try this. If you don't sleep well avoid these rooms. I went with friends so we had 5 rooms in total - 2 of them had aircon/heating that didn't work. Reception were able to fix one but not the other. There are also really annoying instructions for the system that show you a diagram and tell you to turn the summer winter switch. This is on the other side of the room, not on the panel shown in the diagram and we all took a while to find it.
Breakfast is in the Brewers Fare Pub attached to the hotel I have stayed in many Premier Inns and this was by far the worst breakfast I have had at one. Staff were again very helpful and polite but the scrambled eggs were like cotton wool & hash browns were soggy even though the cooked breakfast was cooked to order. Instead I would recommend Che Cafe (out to main hotel and down the road to the left of the Loch Fynn Oyster Bar which is opposite).Cheaper and much much nicer breakfast.

Room Tip: Avoid 130 to 132 if you are a light sleeper (they may be others too that overlook bars)

The hotel is located in the Old City, and was perfect for us to benefit from cheap parking (Wapping Wharf), and still be able to get to all the places in Bristol we wanted to visit: the museum, M Shed, shopping centre, the Red Lodge.

The welcome was warm. The room was excellent - modern, clean, comfortable, well-appointed for an overnight stay. The boys got proper put-me-up beds, not the usual rubbishy sofa with pull out mattress, and each was made up for them when we arrived.

It was a Wednesday night, so everything was quiet, and we had a superb night's sleep, ready for a full on day of activities on Thursday.

I stayed here for one night on my way home to Cornwall from Newcastle and was really impressed. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly -especially " Sam"- the room - number 103- was large and spotlessly clean, all the usual amenities were there . The bed was comfortable and a choice of soft or hard pillows welcome. I took the " meal deal" and throughly enjoyed my meals, Again the staff were very helpful and attentive without being overpowering. The area at first did look a little run down, and, being a lady of a certain age, did at first feel a little apprehensive but ,in retrospect all was well, the position of the hotel was very near the city center, and Hippodrome and within walking distance of Cabots Circus and hospital, bus station and Temple Meads railway station, etc so was ideal. cost of Taxi from the station was approx £5. I would definately have no hesitation to return to stay again and would recommend in a heartbeat.

I stayed here in March for a few nights. It's a great spot, walking distance to the centre. The room was clean and comfy. I have a bad back and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Bristol and would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting for a theatre break. We had a room overlooking the harbour which was lovely. The room was spotlessly clean with really comfortable beds and a choice of pillows, firm or soft. Great shower too. If you are staying here, ask for a harbour view room as the other side of the hotel is near a loud bar that's open until 3am ( we went to the bar for drinks, and had a great time, really good Latino music!)

The area is bustling with lots of restaurants and bars and a 10 minute walk to the Bristol Hippodrome and Cabot Circus shopping, so location couldn't be better.

We enjoyed a continental breakfast the next morning, with plenty of choice or you could have a full English breakfast cooked to order if you wish.

The staff were friendly, very helpful and courteous. The only complaint would be that the rooms can be a little noisy at night, but overall a great stay and would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour view room.
