“Cool room”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

We stopped off in Bristol en route to Cornwall on a very hot evening. The room was delightfully cool and the air con was surprisingly quiet. The sheets were so crisp and cool , bed comfy. All together a great place to stop over. Very friendly receptionists
Only little niggle is the parking. We stayed on a Sunday so parked in the street overnight for free but had to feed the meter at 8.00am then move the car at 9.00am

I've stayed here before - it's where the company I work for puts me - I stay in a lot of hotels - and like all Premier Inns the service is friendly and the rooms are well appointed and clean - everything works. But! The rooms on the top floor are always too hot - 27 degrees is too hot! You can open the window but it is (as others have pointed out) very noisy (tip 3 am noisy). Since last time I stayed here they have installed air con but I had it on full all day (you can't sleep with it on - too noisy) and the temperature only came down to 23 degrees (which was hotter than outside) - I turned it off to sleep and woke to find it back up to 27. I had to claim the goodnight guarantee - which does me no good - as it's not my money. When complaining in the morning was told by the staff that I was far from alone and it's because there's no ventilation on the top floor. So despite all the positives you expect from Premier in I'm marking this one down.

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel!

Thank you for your feedback. I'm really sorry the heat effected your stay. We do have aircon in all the rooms but I know some people prefer to have the windows open. As a city centre site we are lucky to have some great bars around us within easy walking distance but I appreciate that it can be a little noisy from the streets at times particularly on a weekend.

Thank you again for your feedback

Gold value hotel on the cans bank. Central for everything. Clean, comfortable with very pleasant staff.
Only downside is no on-site parking. Nearby NCP is expensive - on street meters might be a cheaper option.
Close to open - top bus tour stop which is excellent value for money.

I am reviewing this hotel as i lie awake in bed for the 2nd night of our stay at half 3 in the morning!! The hotel itself is okay. Clean, large bed, nice bathroom with good hot shower. Location is good for access to Bristol harbour but they cannot possibly stick to their good might sleep guarantee at this hotel. First night (Friday) i was kept awake by some nearby pub noise but then throughout night an alarm rang outside until was finally switched off at about 7 in the morning. The 2nd night (sat) the noise from nearby clubs was ridiculous!! Don't get me wrong at 29 i like a drink and good night out too but i also like a good night sleep afterwards and unfortunately kings street premiier inn is not the place to get one!! :(

It's a Premier Inn, so you know what to expect and what you're going to get, by which I mean a consistent service and quality of room. This one in Bristol has a good city centre location with plenty of pubs and places to eat close by. Comfy beds, friendly staff - all good.

Excellent location, noisy at weekend. Standard sort of service, room pleasant but air con noisy and not very effective. The staff serving breakfast were helpful and patient as we changed our minds once or twiceThis is all I feel I want to write.

I stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family event in a nearby restaurant and was not disappointed. As with other Premier Inns in which I've stayed, the bed was very comfortable and and the promise of a good night's sleep was met. Service at breakfast in the adjoining pub was mixed; excellent on the first morning but not so good on the second when different waiters were on duty. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location suited me very well in an area of many hostelries and about 10 minutes walk from the main shopping area.
