“Bristol Mini-break”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

We decided to spend a short break in Bristol and having seen the ridiculous room only rates and additional parking fees charged by the bigger hotels we decided to look elsewhere. We were glad we did as we could not have wished for a better B&B than The Greenhouse.

Our host Fran had everything covered and The Greenhouse will meet your expectations in every department throughout your stay. Fran also has an excellent knowledge of the Bristol area, attractions and local restaurants. The Greenhouse is located within easy walking distance of the city centre and has ample on street parking. Therefore I would strongly recommend that should you be looking for somewhere to stay in Bristol that you look no further than The Greenhouse as you will not find better.

Room Tip: Look no further than The Greenhouse

Fantastic welcome from Fran especially as we were later than expected in checking in. We stayed in the Oak room which is at the front of the property but as it is on a cul de sac there was absolutely no noise. The room was warm and comfortable.

Fran was really knowledgeable about Bristol and gave us a few restaurant suggestions which we took her up on one of them.

The B&B is only a short walk away from the Harbour which is a fantastic location. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Bristol and will definitely stay there again when visiting Bristol.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice.

Beautiful, welcoming, quiet, just lovely. We showed up late without a reservation, and were so lucky that a room was available, and a wonderful room, too. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the company was agreeable and stimulating. This was by far the nicest accommodation we encountered during our trip.

Really great location, quiet and close to all the areas I wanted to visit, including Tobacco Factory Theatre and the Harbourside. Fran was very thoughtful and welcoming, easy to chat to and interested to hear what I'd been up to, which was nice as I was visiting Bristol on my own. The room was warm and comfortable, bright and clean. Great breakfasts with dietary requirements catered for and plenty of tea!

Everything we read about the Greenhouse was true. A wonderful place to stay when visiting Bristol. The service and facilities were first class and the location was convenient for wandering about central Bristol. Breakfasts were divine and Fran was so helpful in assisting us and answering any questions we had. Every aspect of our stay was simply excellent. We will be booking in 2014!

Behind a small and discrete facade : a Great stay in a wonderfull Guest House with a very kind lady . The breakfast is equivalent to genuine starhotels !
To have a real impression of a city it is always better not to be in the centre itself : you can walk from the Greenhouse to the center in just 15 minutes following the Avon. I enjoyed my stay in Bristol greatly , not in the least thanks to the clues of Miss Fran, the perfect host!

Fran the owner made us very welcome and accommodated our every need. The house is really pleasant and the bedrooms very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were heaven with lovely homemade bread and a great choice of food and drink on offer. Very impressed by the tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms especially the range of teas and filter coffee with our own cafetieres. It's a really unusual place to stay because it really is eco-friendly from the organic breakfasts to the 'green' toiletries in the bathrooms. Great location for walking into Bristol but Southville is really interesting too and we enjoyed a farmers market on our last morning. Fran is a warm and caring person interested in her guests and makes you feel your your stay really matters. Great value for money.

Room Tip: Couldn't add anything about the children's activities or fitness centre. But the parking is...
