The best Indian in Bristol, fabulous atmosphere, tasty food & great staff. We had a bit of a blip with our order being forgotten, but the staff were so good about it & we still had a really lovely evening. It's one of our favourites & we will keep going back.

Thanks for taking the time to review us and for being so understanding about your order mishap. If you visit regularly don't forget to ask for a loyalty card so that you can start collecting stamps and getting free Thalis! Hope to see you soon. Kind regards, The Thali Cafe Team

Been to this place many times. Truly superb - great veggie Indian Thali, amazing atmosphere and good value for money. Don't miss out on this one. Parking is the only issue.

“The original and best - lovely food and bargain prices!”
Reviewed 8 February 2013

I am very fortunate to live just 5 mins walk away from this Bristol institution! Have been going here for years and it's my first choice of a "welcome back to the UK" meal after returning from an exciting overseas adventure. Excellent locally sourced fresh food lovingly prepared and served by really friendly chatty staff - it's so cosy and welcoming it's like a home from home. Great place for a romantic meal or to head there with a group of friends/family. Oh, and their tiffin take outs are an absolute bargain - go there and see for yourself!!

Thanks so much for the great review. It’s a pleasure to be recommended so highly by a local. We avoid high street locations and aim to create a space that is used by the communities in which our Cafes exist as well as somewhere to eat tasty authentic Indian food - so we’re really glad you feel so at home there. See you again soon! Kind regards, The Thali Cafe Team

“Always a favourite”
Reviewed 30 January 2013

We eat here every time we go to a festival or event. In fact I would say that I actually look forward to eating there.

This time the prices had gone up a little, but still a great, authentic curry.

Thanks for your review. Nice to hear that you seek us out on the festival circuit - that's where it all began and we still love serving our Thalis al fresco to muddy revellers! We now have four restaurants in Bristol with a fifth opening soon! Hope to see you soon, The Thali Cafe Team

“yum!”
Reviewed 17 January 2013

I have eaten at the Thali a few times, but most often I get a takeaway if I happen to be working late, as my studio is not far. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely, lots of fun things to catch your eye, it's very cosy, and has great colours everywhere. Staff are always very welcoming.

The food is always to a good standard. I am not a vegetarian but we are normally more than satisfied sharing a Northern Thali & two chapatti's between two (and skipping the meat keeps the cost down). You also miss out on that guilty 'post greasy curry feeling' as the food is so fresh and good!

Thanks for your review. So glad that you enjoy our Thalis and are using our Tiffin Takeaway scheme. If you haven't checked our menu recently then have a look as we've added some specials and added some options to the way you can order your takeaway - now you can choose to swap a dish from your usual Thali and try a new one (e.g. a special) in it's place...or you can just stick to your favourite Thali! Either way don't forget to pick up our loyalty card so that you can claim a free Tiffin or Thali meal for every eight stamps collected. Thanks again. The Thali Cafe Team.
